Nope. The other guy's phone was dead, and I'm a grandpa with a flip-phone that doesn't light crap. Couldn't call the other guys back because the whole area has no reception. Actually, the whole campus seems to screw with electronics in general. Perfect setup for a horror movie, now that I think about it.

All the makings of a great horror story. Oh and shining a phone light doesn't work so optimally more than a foot in front of you. Also there are rumors that it attracts monsters hiding in the dark...

Edit: man I got ninja'ed...

My blog here if you want to check out my Times articles and other writings! I always appreciate comments/feedback.

Casino last night was a rollercoaster. I was playing blackjack like usual. Started with 60$, went down to like 10, made it up to 150$, got cleaned, up 20$ more in, made it up to 135$ and called it quits. Ended up walking out with 55$ profit so I'm ok with it. Friend had the same cycle and walked out with 200$ profit. Fun night.

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

I feel like I have Parkinson's. Between the cold, the anxiety and the heavy drinking...my body is quaking. It's like, I can sit still, but it feels like my skeleton wants to jump out of my body through my eyeballs.

I'm not a doctor (yet) but you should probably get that checked out. It would be best to stop drinking. There are resources out there.

RPG can't stop drinking. The collective hangover from all of the drinking combined might kill him.

Whenever I'm feeling funky I'll take 3 days and detox. Sometimes I'll use like 10 minutes of meditation in the morning to help bring me focus if my mind & body are feeling all out of whack. I think it helps.

Ha. I'm pretty sure the name is Mystic Lake though. I think this was like the 7th time I went there this semester.

I wanna know, are casual crashes/freezes a thing you expect from console gaming? Because it's something I get all the time playing games on my PC, and google tells me it's just something I should expect. But that's not a thing I would expect out of like an xbox or whatever.

It's really frustrating. It happens on all the games I play. I don't want it.

My skin is finally getting soft
I'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

No, that's not normal. I've actually never heard of a console "crash", only ever RRoD.

I've had a few crashes on my PS3. Maybe like a handful over all the 5 years that I've had it, but they do exist. Mostly because the game itself is bugged though, like AC IV for example was.

In other news, had an absolute blast and epic weekend. That ended really badly. Tensions are skyhigh.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

I take a sober day or two when my body does this too most of the time, but with people coming home from college, its gonna be hard not to drink lol. But yes, alcohol withdrawal is actually lethal. I hope I'm not that deep into it. That'd be bad.

Consoles freeze fairly frequently, but not as much as PC'S. Usually it depends on the game. My PS3 runs Battlefield 4 like a handicapped toddler, but other games it plays just fine.

I've never really had crashing issues on Microsoft/Nintendo stuff, and freezing is pretty rare. The PS3 in particular had a bit of a reputation for bad ports.

Archer is a great show. Favorite episode I have seen so far is S3E3. "For a free and sovereign Nova Scotia!"

Apparently there's a terrorist hold-up in Sydney. Trust me to just wake up when all this stuffs been happening for the past few hours only to say "I'm hungry"

Popoto.~<3

Thats the right approach Tim. Terrorists situations are boring but dramatic, more likely to get struck by lightning then to deal with a terrorist.

In before someone runs around terrorizing people with a lightning machine...

Get back here so I can rub your butt.

I don't expect crashing or freezing from my computer games. I accept that it's an inevitable possibility that my specific hardware and software combination will be one that a game might not handle, but frankly, if my computer is up to date and using modern technology, I expect my games to work, and for the most part they do. This isn't the same as expecting my games to be free of bugs, though I do have pretty high standards. I'll give leeway to games that are in development obviously, as well as games like Skyrim where I realise that the nature of the game means things are going to happen that aren't anticipated, and that the complexity of how everything fits together is going to mean that a couple things are probably going to be overlooked when the game is developed. Skyrim is the type of game that you really want to play on a PC if for no other reason than you have access to the developer console, which is a fantastic tool for overcoming a number of bugs. It also gives you access to a modding community that will release their own patches for the game, eliminating thousands of bugs that the developer couldn't be bothered to fix.

On the whole, console gaming tends to be a lot more stable, especially with the mainstream developers. Do be aware though that with consoles all going online, console developers now feel free to borrow pages out of the PC developer handbook, such as releasing an unpolished game and using the early buyers as beta testers, and then just patching it later. If you aren't going to be able to patch your console games, stay away from them. There are however fewer things that can go wrong, since all consoles being identical make them easier to develop for.

I know terrorism is a scary thing and all that shit, but causing mass panic (Like almost all news outlets are doing at the moment, including the "Daily Telegraph" printing out scare tactics) is the last thing people need.

Waiting for my final grades to be posted for autumn quarter. If I got below a 2.5 in my math class, my short-term academic future is really gonna be a pain in the ass in terms of reorganizing my winter quarter (since I already signed up for the next course in the sequence which I couldn't take if I did get below a 2.5). Retaking the class would be literal hell, but I think my only other option would be to switch from a BA to a BS. And my GPA already took a hit from that class regardless, so I feel like I should just power through.

The final was so insanely hard and I know I did terrible on it. Pre-final I had a projected 2.8 in the class, but the fact that the final was worth 35% of my grade and the fact that I think I did so badly has me preparing for the worst. I just really, really hope the curve is in my favor and everyone else did horribly too.

Welp I'll find out within a couple days I guess.

The point of this post is that math can go [bleep] itself

So yeah, I needed to get a 2.5 or above to pass.

I got a 2.6

[bleep] yesssssssssssss I've never been so happy to get a crummy grade before

Anyone else just really feel like studying doesn't help them? I feel relatively guilty for not studying, but I also don't feel like it benefits me much whereas most people on campus can't stop studying
