December 31, 201510 yr I made a post on the 22nd about starting to feel sick and thinking it would last 6 - 7 days. I was right. I woke up feeling fine on the 28th, but then yesterday morning the sensation came back and now I'm where I was a week ago in terms of ailment. The weird part is that it's not like some sort of horrible diarrhea fever that keeps relapsing. It's just enough to make me absolutely miserable while still being able to function. My father has a history of really bad allergies that eventually lead to a bunch of giant polyps forming in his nose and him needing surgery, so hopefully this isn't his shit genes starting to come out in me. In the same post, I mentioned being done with finals and thinking I might have failed two courses. I got a B in and a B+ in the other. The best part is that my cumulative grade for both was well below 70%. Without trying to sound too pretentious, I guess that means I did above average, but that means the average for those classes was probably around 50% which doesn't really make me feel any better. At least I don't have to pay to take the classes again.

Can't stand people that insist they failed when they obviously aren't close I mean, let's be fair, sometimes you *are* close and suddenly you aren't. Like, I had a class last semester where I was sitting at between a D and a C from week 1 until week 17, because the teacher was only putting in quiz grades and not returning assignments. Like, up until the last week before finals, I was on the verge of failing, and I was calculating minimum test scores to get a C in the class because of it. Then he put in the assignments, and I went from a C- (minimum to pass) to an A- in 1 day. If I were just like, "Yeah, I about failed that class, but I got an A in the end" it'd sound like that, but I legit did almost fail, or at least spent a lot of time in the "almost failing" column. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

December 31, 201510 yr Dude I got a C in discrete math. What a bullshit class. The grade was relative to everyone else in the class, so of course everyone who was doing poorly in the class dropped, and I almost ended up failing as a result

Last i heard no one died, but 2 or 3 people were injured. Hopefully that's as bad as it gets. Amazingly though the building was ablaze for hours without collapsing or bringing down any of the surrounding buildings. So that's good too.

January 1, 201610 yr I spent the new years in Riga. Pretty epic fireworks display and stuff, but kinda expected, as it is the largest city in the Baltics. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. January 1, 201610 yr Had a pretty great night last night. Went to a casino with some friends for a little bit, then we all took some molly and went to this weird industrial bar for the rest of the night. Music was pretty bizarre but it was fun seeing everybody and I ended up making out with a really hot girl so its a pretty solid night / 10 in my book

January 3, 201610 yr I've gotta admit I've had a really nice time in the United States. I've had a negative perception of the USA and I don't really know where it came from. Probably my own ignorance and media spin but I think my opinion has changed after actually going there myself. I visited a couple of villages and towns in Pennsylvania. I liked Tannersville and I saw a friend in Gettysburg and had some fun in Buffalo and New York was decent. I've had some great memories and I love travelling. Everyone was super helpful when I asked for directions. Canadian border control are so chill the guy was legit joking around and I couldn't stop laughing. Went on a cruise around Manhattan... It's been a bloody good week. Might go to Chicago as it's only a six hour drive from here. January 3, 201610 yr So one issue I've had since I've moved out of the house was the lack of cable. Don;t get me wrong Netflix and youtube are great but I miss Direct TV mostly for Sportscenter. So I found out while West Virginia University was playing Arizona State University that I can watch ESPN live with linking my parents DTV to my internet in the apartment.
