Hiierarch
I read in another thread about unconscious actions someone will make when they are around someone that they are attracted to. Things like moving towards the person while standing near them, picking dirt off their clothes, listening more attentively than normal, and standing with your hands in your pockets while facing them, etc. I was just curious what other things you've noticed when someone is attracted to someone else, and how they act around them. Lenin64
I do all those things when I'm around people I don't really know. Except moving towards them and listening more attentivly. And instead of picking dirt I take lint out of my pockets. So really just standing with my hands in my pockets. Command the Murderous Chalices! ThurinEthir
I always stand with my hands in my pockets. Unless I'm penspinning. Anyway, I guess it's all related to being nervous. Or wanting to be nice to the other person. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu. dusqi
You can't just say "oh, he's standing on his left leg with his right hand in his pocket, so he must be attracted to me", or whatever other ideas you have about magical body language techniques. What you can do is look at the difference between how he normally acts and how he acts around you. If there are significant differences, then that might tell you something. And besides, picking dirt off their clothes??? Who the hell does that? "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." gonpost
Tbh the best way to tell is simply if the person makes eye contact with you a LOT more than everyone else is. There's at least some sort of fascination. I guarantee that's true almost every time. Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind.

ThurinEthir
And besides, picking dirt off their clothes??? Who the hell does that? I really doubt it's an unconscious thing. Like your hand won't just reach out and wipe something off someone's shirt without even thinking about it. Though I have to say, one time, I was sitting with a girl outside, during French...I had a piece of grass on my shoe, and she wiped that off. Yeah. Impressive, eh? That's probably the closest I've ever been to having sex. :P Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu. warren211
I notice my friends whenever they're attracted trying to have some form of body contact with the person, whether its gently putting his arm against hers or in a crowded area intentionally brushing her with his body. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Yeah, it's really easy to see when your friends like someone. Even to the untrained eye, it's not difficult. It's more difficult to read someone you don't know very well. 0ne_time
Alright guys, here is the e-book on body language. Read, learn, enjoy. That link doesn't seem to be working; can you please re-host it? OT: I notice a lot of things that have been mentioned before, such as a lot of eye contact and intentional touching. As said before, it's just natural for most people and that's what they do. ~Joined RS December 2001~Retired Mid-2007

Personal space is very valuable and that value is respected. Yeah, I do the picking lint out of (my) pockets thing. As well as listening attentively and moving towards her. Makes me sound like a stalker.

Powman3
Pelvic thrusts are a good indicator. I recall someone on this forum having .gif image of some dude doing that near another dude, and the other dude is like "Please stop doing that". I think it was Lenin. Anyway, I don't really do anything unusual, I do blush though, which is annoying.
Shin
When you've been around girls for a long time, you start noticing certain things they all do. If you're attracted to you, they'll tend to look at your lips a lot. They sit upright, because it makes their boobs look larger. Also, a big hint that they're comfortable with you, is that they will cross their legs. If her leg that is furthest away from you and is crossed pointing at your direction, they feel comfortable being held or relaxed in your arms. If its pointing away from you, they probably don't feel comfortable around you or don't want to be bothered right then. Its all these subconscious things they do that can give away stuff. I know quite a few people who avoid eye contact with those that they like. Exactly. Again it comes up for me this respect of personal space thing for me because I live in Finland. If you pass someone on the street, you do not look them in the eye unless you know them. In America it seems to be that you look them in the eye no matter what. So I have kind of lost the ability to judge how much eye contact is normal with anyone, with girls I just go for minimal.
