On topic, you could try using one of those berserker shields from FOG, but in all honesty you should just get a rune defender... September 7, 200817 yr Even someone like me would say defender is best. Defender is 'basically' the best melee 'shield' in the game, no one can argue against that.

September 8, 200817 yr Defenders are by far your best bet. If you absolutely refuse to use one for whatever reason, an Obsidian Shield works quite well. A Dragon Sq is really just for looks. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

Seriously. The attack bonuses are so worth it.
