September 10, 200817 yr I would go with 1k-2k to be safe, there will most likely be some tokens left over for you to get multiple defenders, which is a very good idea.

September 11, 200817 yr I do rune sets but that's irrelevant. It took me 2k+ to get my rune def then another 200-400 to get another one after I died with the first. I currently only have one with no intentions of going back #-o Apparently, my signature was to big.

I think it averages around 200-300 tokens/defender (you need 8 defenders for your first rune defender).. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.
September 11, 200817 yr my bronze took me about 3-400 tokens, at which point i gave up, months later I thought hey, lets hve another go, first couple took a while, but after that they came in flying, including the original say 400 i mustve used just over 1k for 3 rune defenders

September 12, 200817 yr It took me just under 3k tokens, my mate got upto rune then 4 spares in the time it took me to get 1 rune... Its all just luck, stick at it and you will soon get one... Btw I kept hold of my addy 1 in case I loose my rune...
