We need a smithing guild

Maybe with these features I might consider...

1: Superheated-Furnace, higher chance of success for Iron, less coal required for higher ores

2: Coal Dealer, deals with coal stuffs... he ALWAYS buys at 150gp and sells at 160gp (limited stock)

3: Maybe a big flat area for merchants to come in and trade things so we can dump the products and continue the work.

Use the superheat ore mage spell while standing in the Varrock hut opposite the bank. Then use the bars on the anvil. Run back to bank, withdraw ores, use superheat spell, then use bars on the anvil

Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

As for smithing guild, no. If anything, throw a furnace into the mining guild (and even that, I say no to).

Yeah, I agree, but because it would have to have mines, furnace, and anvil, you would need a reasonably high level- say 65.

Now how about a woodcutters guild :D

A smithing guild would be pointless.

Shilo furnice is the closest to a bank

f2p...

f2p the closest bank to a furnace is alkahid

p2p the closest bank to a furnace is in shilo villgae, but you have to pay for it, so p2p almost always use ghost port.

Not sure about you but I would want to liven up my job if I had a job like theirs.

We definetely need a smithing guild. Few of us are loyal smithers, and until we reach 99 smithing, all we get out of it is satisfaction. I really want a smithing guild even if it is empty just for more self satisfaction

WHO AGREES!!!

Honestly, I think Jagex has chosen the good skills to make a guild for. Except the Monastery, not really a guild. BUT, the ones they have made are special places that could actually be useful, as a smithing guild wouldn't help that much. Face it, you've got furnaces close to banks (Port Phasmatys) and anvils close to banks (Varrock) and mining areas close to banks (Falador, Varrock, North of Seers', etc.), which all the smithing guild would really have. I'm going to have to say no on this one.

i disagree

1) smithing is the only skill (other than construction) that gives you a new ability almost every level up to and including 99. you dont just get satisfaction for training smithing

2) the blast furnace is like a smithing guild, after reaching lvl 60 smithing, you can get in for free

3) not all guilds are that great. no one bothers with the cooking guild

To easy to smith they would probebly make it like the crafting guild have everything there but you would have to bank what you make at the closest bank.

I think that connecting the mining guild to the smithing guild would make it ok, otherwise it would be rather pointless. They would both be in fally, so it would be closer to a bank.

The smithing guild should have a furnace, a couple of anvils, and 1 respawn of hammers. I think its requirement to get in should be 60, like the mining guild.

I hereby declare that the house across the street from the west Varrock bank is the smithing guild! You must have a smithing skill of at least 78 to enter (that's my skill level, by the way). In this smithing guild, only the most dedicated smithers may enter and use the anvils, and the fact that it is conveniently near a bank makes it all that much better.

So.. all you noobs with a lower smithing skill than me, STAY OUT!. Stay out I say! We at the smithing guild are too poor to afford a lock on the door and an NPC to guard it and keep the you noobs out. However, we are honest folks and we know that only those who are honest about their craft will enter. It's a an honor system, you see.

Ok? Problem solved.

Heh, that made me laugh.

Anyway...no, no smithing guild. Why? Not everything needs a guild, and most of the guilds that do exist aren't that great. The mining guild, for instance, sucks. 5 mith rocks, 20 or 30 coals...and usually around 25 people all mining. I mean, there's two addy rocks outside the mining guild, but none inside? What's up with that? I never go into the mining guild except as a shortcut. There are far more efficient and rewarding places to mine at.

Sorry, got off track there. A smithing guild is unneccessary; you shouldn't be able to get to level 99 in a month on all skills. Some skills should be tougher to level than others because otherwise, there'd be no challenge in RS. And, anyway, smithing is the most profitable skill in all of f2p and possibly p2p; it should be more difficult to raise. Otherwise, you think the RS economy is bad now?

forget the 'we' :3>

i'm not that interessed in the smithing style.

it would be handy if you need some things to smith fast, but nah, it woudn't be a succes out of my eyes ;)

I actually think this is a really good idea, give it a requirement of say 55 smithing, place East of mining guild, so you can choose between banking and smithing, I would use it, a lot of people would! And don't say it makes smithing too easy, because IMO prayer is now a lot easier than smithing! And besides, it's still hard to get 55, it's an extremely annoying skill! Make it easier!
