I love the Maple Story program bar on the bottom of the screen

I think minigames like fog really bring out the worst in people...

People are idiots and think you should totally tank your AGS full bandos and max'd combat at the center while they hide and win.

Seriously, one way to solve this is the red frowning face near the happy face...then tell them you ignored them...always works ::'

Gotta say, that thread title lured me very well.

Nothing I didn't already know.

Like Skychi says, only 1/100 pures are nice.

I stay away from FoG because of that reason anyway

Eh, I never try to hide =/ I just stand in the middle every game, less work and chance of me lagging out there too

I hardly ever lose doing it too, so obviously I still get called a noob and stuff

It's better to hide though, I only get about 10 rating per game, where someone who hid to get more charges would get more rating

Darn, i hate pures thinking that they should bring all their rules and honour into mini games..

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but I'll reply anyway.

I love pures, except for the ones that want you to purposefully stay at a disadvantage.

Consider: I have a higher combat level due to prayer. A "honorable" pure who has higher str and atk and no prayer thinks I should not use prayer even though I'm disadvantaged with a lower str and atk. He gets to use his higher combat stats but I'm not honorable if I use mine.

Same goes with defense with those that used to "stake". They have a higher atk to use higher weapons, but I should use my higher defense to use higher armor.

The only time you're dishonorable is if you both agreed to rules (that cannot be enforced by anything but your own actions) then break those rules.

Pures have a distinct first strike advantage and they should have it. They pay the price with lack of defense, prayer and summoning. However, don't moan when others utilize their advantages.

This goes back to Fist of Guthix, with players playing within the rules the game gives. The same game that gives better first strike to pures gives advantages to those that run.

And that's why pures always lose, because they get pounded by the 100+ =.=

Just fought a mauler a couple mimutes ago, koed with blitz+GS spec. I ran, of course. I had around 2500 charges when I died. When I went out, victorious, he started flaming me =.=

Meh. Usually they [everybody, including pures] either beg and plead to let them win or actually come right out and say that they're only there for Magic XP.

Ha, I remember killing this one guy 5 times while he was hunting me...

If i understand this thread correctly, you are trying to say that the PURE is a idiot? Yhinking that there are unwritten rules about high levels not being allowd to run... If i misunderstand the thread i just want to say something about FoG anyway.

The houses are there, use them!

The rocks are there, hide hihind them!

The tele orb is there, tele when you want!

Im a lvl 109 and i still run. If im up agains any player upto 29 combat levels lower than me, and anything higher, i run like hell. The object of the game is to get as many charges as you can, by what means ever. I intend on doing just that. Higher charge = higher rating. I play for rating so obviously i would want higher charges. I hate sour losers calling you a "runner noob" just because your tacticts own theirs...!

The only thing that seperates you and a pure is your defence. A 100+ will just rely on a pure hitting constant 0's, thus winning by merely only outlasting a pure. Get 99 defence and you have the certainty of winning, but vs a skilled pure under the same duress as they are (as in 1 def vs 1 def) - I can assure you that the odds will always favour the skilled one. Any experienced pure will know this.

I just had to include that since you make it seem as if pures are not good at what they are.

But what I find disappointing is that the OP focuses the topic around a pure. From my experience of so called 'name calling' in RuneScape, ALL types of players are guilty of the same sin.

I think what's even more important is the two lines in the chatbox above what the pure says. You won by a huge margin, you should just accept that there are some people who can't take losing. :|
