Well we all know Andrew Gower doesn't get on rs much anymore since the tight group community aspect has left the game. I was just wondering what it would be like to log on knowing you created this videogame seeing countless people enjoying your masterpiece.

 

 

 

So I asked myself what would I do if I knew I created Runescape and headed it at the moment? I figured I'd probably log onto a small world like 110 and ask people what they thought of the game and how I could improve it. Plus I'd be showing off some stuff only the creator could have :

More seriously, I would probably spend a lot of time wandering the world to see what I've done, and lurking on forums to see what improvements people want (well, I camp anyway, but hey).

Oh, I forgot to put the other thing: Build a large vault, fill it with money, and spend at least an hour a day just rolling around in it, lol.

I would go into bounty hunter world 18 and use my unlimited hp to tank everyone trying to kill me then use super ice barrage and blow everyone away and steal their stuff...hehe :D

With that said, I would not log on the character "Andrew" to find out opinions about RS. The results would not be what I wanted.

 

 

 

I'd probably log on a different account, maybe one that I actually played on o.O, and play, and see what people are saying about recent or upcoming updates.

 

 

 

Although seeing the fun people had with Andrew and other mods like him back in RSC, it would be fun to log on that character every now and then :o

I'd ask people what they realy wanted for christmas instead of merchants rigging it for the sanra suit. Well that and with all holiday events.

Cheat :D! Get myself a lot of nice stuff. Also, I would ask people around me how I and my fellow admin friends could improve RS.

* Sell the rights to RSC (not including NPC or game name) to the party that pays the most. Close the actual RSC.

 

* Publicly sell 10-20% stocks depending on the way they are divided at the moment and what kind of limitations the UK system have on them.

 

* Sell small add places from the game itself: for example a Nike logo at the GE "floor" wouldn't look too bad, at least not from my bank account's point of view.

 

* Outsource major parts of programming (not the ones vital to the game itself) to India or some other country with the knowledge and cheaper salaries. With the saved amount of money I'd invest a lot more on the customer support.

 

* Arrange few sauna nights with alcohol. A lot of alcohol.

 

 

 

edit: Aim for chinese markets by translating the game. Why?

- Cheap labour for customer support.

I'd work day and night to release a weapon known as the Great Axe of Noob Smiting. This very powerful weapon can be used to PK beggars anywhere in the game on non-PvP servers. :

 

Other than that I'd try my best to fix certain annoying aspects of the game (such as people being able to freeload in the Trawler mini-game). I would try to decrease the use of automated messages for things such as players trying to show they've been unfairly banned/muted.

 

But above all I'd make sure Jagex mods are seen interacting with other players ingame as much as they used to back in the day. I'd also Have a "famous RS player" account of my own which I'd use to pass on as a non-Jmod (remember S H A R K ?).
