Why do you pk?

Recently after the release of the new pvp worlds i have noticed alot of complaints about the drops, little do some know that the pking system we have now is outstanding and is loads of fun. Heck brawler gloves are enough of an initiative for me to pk.

Can you remember hearing about this update and thinking, wow i can pk anywhere, i can kill people gathering recources to claim that spot etc. Yet all i see if people worrying about money and trying to "farm" drops. I play my normal runescape on pvp worlds expecting random fights everywhere, you should try it it makes playing runescape so much more fun and adventurous like it's supposed to be.

It's never going to be constant or fast money but it sure is always enjoyable. So far i have lost alot more cash then i have earned but i have had the most fun in runescape since i first became a member. Training str has never felt so quick either because i have gained 600k xp just getting rune defender's back busting to get back into it.

So why do you play on pvp worlds?

yh same as above poster i fall into being attacked by range tanks, berserker pures with 99 str and many other nasty players

becasue of your levels it brings you above them and they will not try agasint your high defense while im a prime target for just ice blitzing and tb :wall:

Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod!

Stats don't count for alot considering you can only fight people your levels. My kill death ratio is 1:3 so that shows stats doesn't matter.

but your level isnt picked on by berserker pures :/ which are deadly if they tb you and have a ags :wall:

I don't PK for profit, I have other ways of making money. I PK because I love PvP. It's fun and exciting, and unlike most RS activities you don't get bored after doing nothing but that for a week or two.

Look at other popular MMORPGs, most of them are successful thanks to their Player-vs-Player features.

You're fighting fellow players, they have better IQ than the game's monsters (sometimes) and that makes it more of a challenge, thus fun.

Pretty much what Dragon said.

Thread terminated.

I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator?

Ive tried a survical type of gameplay, which can be used seperate from the regular gameplay. In this survival game it is my goal to get some real weapons/armour so I can make a few pks without ever accesing a bank. Starting without anything and eventually killing a few guys is very satisfying. You start small, obtaining a few tools, fishing a bit with your barehands, smithing yourself a few weapons. But if your stats (mainly non-combat) are good, you will eventually obtain gear strong enough to kill quite a few pkers. Its the ultimate exploring and surviving game.

I pk as a nice break from the mundane act of swinging my pickaxe to and fro. Its such a nice release from a long day of mining with my rune pickaxe to slash at someone relentlessly with my rune scimmy ...too bad I'm the one who usually ends up being pwned relentlessly. Eh, such is life ::'.

I think I'll try something like that too. In fact, I'm going to make another account, get combat level 20, drop everything my character owns, then from then on only play in PvP worlds. It might turn out to be a very different game.

EDIT: It's official, I'm out of semi-retirement! Dark x Will is born! *Thunder Clap* Mwahahaha!

i don't/can't pk for money....

'cause you only get like 1/6 of what you should have gotten...

lol i killed full verac (yes he was skulled) and got a white mystic top and a karils coif 0

there is no way you can make the money back from the sharks/pots you lose unless you:

A. never die

B. NH the entire time (pj with gs/dds you get the idea)

C. always get the kill ( i watched a guy bank, eat to full health and run back out .... then i went on and killed him, full rune+dds+dscim = not my kill WTF BULL)

i want pvp and i think its cool they brought it back but for the pkers that made a living off of it in the old days

i wish they had updated the pking thing like they did with rsc and rs2. then maybe 80% of my friends wouldn't have quit.

i don't play psykick anymore... i play 2ed: "pure fett"

26081 to get 99 herblore

When I quit members, I sold all my members things and ended up with a sum of 48m. After buying full sarah for f2p and a large supply of runes, arrows, and other f2p supplies, I decided to become a pker. I mean, it's not like rich f2p'ers have anything better to do than murdering other rich f2p'ers...

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.
