Seriously Nad? Wow...that kinda blows...that was one of the best aspects of oblivion...the ability to continue playing after the main quest. That's really kinda retarted. That kinda undermines the possibility of expansions aswell.

Yeah it sucked. I mean, I can still run around the world on an earlier save but it's just not the same, because the quest is just unfinished.

Aww man....that's probably one of the most disappointing things I've ever heard about a game. My heart just broke. Like really.....why the HELL would they do that.

Well there you go, you could still run around, level up, and do side quests. Now sure, they added the endings they did for closure, but if they want to stay "true to the fallout series" they would've copied how the old ones were?

And also, in Oblivion(Don't flame me for comparing it to oblivion), the open endedness was one of the most loved aspects of the game...why take that out in another very similar open world type game?

i'm still loving this game, ammo is kinda hard to find at first, then i got the scrounger perk or something which allows me to find slightly more ammo in containers. quite nice really. although now i don't have the game anymore since i'm back home, and don't currently have the money to buy my own copy. :( :(

Got the PC Collectors edition! :D Finished the game today, such a bad ending. :( Level 17 at the end, got the power armour and recon armour and lots of weapons. The Mysterious Stranger rocks :D I really enjoyed the game but the ending killed it for me. Oh the collectors Vault-Tec Bobble head seriously is the best bit of the collectors edition :P

I think the ending was such a let down, would have been much better if they kept it like the previous fallout games and oblivion. I decided to start again and now im just exploring and doing side quests.

Man, it took me forever to find out how to get into Rivet City -.- Also, super mutants are surprisingly easy to deal with even with just a hunting rifle.[hide=]The super mutant behemoth sequence outside GNR has been the coolest part of the game so far.[/hide]I also seem to have a somewhat annoying glitch where Dogmeat just randomly dies when I load certain saves. Has anyone else had this problem?

You'll find a lot is easy to take down. Run up close > VATS > head.

Yeah, I've noticed. They should have named the dog 'Decoy', that's all it seems to be good for. It is kind of cool to make a super mutant's head go all Jackson Pollock though.

Heh, I've had fun with a few schematics, like the Deathclaw Gauntlets, which is the best unarmed melee weapon yet, and it outclasses the power fist. There's the Railway Rifle, which use railway [bleep]es, and then there's the Shishkebab, which is a flaming lawnmower blade that does Fire DoTs.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

Played 5minutes of it, just up to the part when the girl comes to warn you to leave.

Even though ive only played 5minutes, very much impressed with it.

Finally got around to using a laser rifle, even took the Commando perk since I rarely seem to be using pistols at all anymore. I do find it odd that when you score a critical for the kill and your enemy goes all pile of ashes on you, you can still scavenge their armour.

Turns out not finding the 'nice' solution to the simulation area actually helped me, as the loss of karma firmly put me in the neutral zone of the good <> evil spectrum, which goes nicely with the perk that gives +30 to my speech skill as long as I'm neutral. It has already payed off in 1000 caps :D[hide=]I'm completely stuck trying to find my way into Vault 87... I've reached the kids' settlement, but I can't get them to open the gate at the end of Murder Pass. I've been sorely tempted to just smear the stupid brats across the cavern walls, but the game won't let me.[/hide]Also, abandoned vaults are seriously depressing :(

The abandoned vaults are kinda depressing though. On Tranquility lane:

[hide=]The Chinese Invasion gives you good karma because it breaks Braun's control over the residents of the vault. The program was created where if they died in the simulation to them, they died in real life. Basically, the citizens were screwed either way.[/hide]

played through the tutorial.. fun stuff. saved butches mum for him, then killed him because his switchblade looked cool.

the whole system is a [bleep]ing joke though. I cant save games, because I dont have a valid LIVE!!! account apparently, and it wont let me register one for some [developmentally delayed]ed reason.

So... game is on hiatus whilst I figure out how to get microsoft's amazing online system to work.

Actually, you can save as an offline profile, or is the game denying your ability to save?

Also, this is why I love the railway rifle:

It says its saved, but when I next fire up the game they arent there, and also it wont let me sign into a live ID, so I'm guessing the 2 are related.

[hide=]Yeah, I'd like to have seen some sort of 'blackmail' option where you can threaten to activate the Chinese Invasion if he doesn't release your dad and you, with an extra option depending on your speech skill to also release the vault dwellers for extra karma.[/hide]

@ Jaziek

Tried disconnecting Live? As in physically disconnecting the internet cord.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

[hide=]Should be able to blackmail him and make him release everyone. Of course, the failsafe makes Braun lonely because he's forced to be alone.[/hide]

I love unarmed combat, VATS executions for the Deathclaw Gauntlet is brutal.
