December 9, 200817 yr WHAT THE [bleep]!? Those cops should be sent to Guantanamo, beaten and tazed every day, and be given extremely slippery soap. After a few weeks of pain and misery, they should have THEIR backs broken, drenched in water and then electrocuted to death. Do all of your posts suck this much? Anyways, tasering someone 19 times? I can't even imagine why that would be justified in anyone's eyes. Of course, I don't think we have the full story here, but it still sounds excessive. I do English to Japanese and Japanese to English translation for free! Just keep it under 5 sentences, and PM me to use my fluency in Japanese to your advantage!

December 9, 200817 yr Well, the person who placed the 911 call is just wondering why the [bleep] some kid is laying on the interstate and apparently crazy. I'll bet the cops feel similarly. Too bad we'll likely never know the entire story. Every single source will be too biased. Also, 19 times is ridiculous. I doubt that completely. Any person who's been taught how to properly use a tazer knows that two zaps will bring down even the largest ... enemy? Foe? Whatever. By the way: Broken backs are very hard to notice. Just because someone's laying on the ground doesn't make it obvious. You can pull a lot of muscles, simply be dizzy, or even just get the wind knocked out of you and feel similarly. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

December 9, 200817 yr We're not seeing the big picture here. The cops are saying things to not get them in trouble, the family is defending the boy with anything, and the media is only reporing half of what they hear. Was there not a dash cam on the cop car that we can look at?
December 9, 200817 yr Thinking of it, I think its the person who took the call's fault, Seeing how the situtation was taken control by cops and not by a ambulanace. The police are usually first on the scene to anything.

No, now that I'm thinking about it, this has definitely been posted here before. Look at the date on the video, it's July 28. December 9, 200817 yr Before I read his post I was going to say something along the lines of what Kriegsmier posted, I agree with him. Cops have some of the hardest, stressful and mindf*cking jobs there are. They can go from being at a 12 car pileup with death and blood everywhere, to being yelled at for doing their job and handing out a speeding ticket an hour later. Think about it from their point of view: First on the scene, and somebody is lying on the ground, looking like he is somehow intoxicated and saying things about shooting cops. I would take action too. They wouldn't have known about his broken back, so using a tazer when somebody is talking about shooting them would be the first thing to come to anybodies mind. Especially after my recent scrape with the media, I'd have to call BS on the 'tazered 19 times' thing.
December 9, 200817 yr I can't believe people are actually blaming the cops for not automatically knowing that he'd broken his back  . I laugh ever harder at those who believe that 19 tazes is accurate. YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE!
December 9, 200817 yr ONE Taser is too many. Period. I don't care what the kid said. I mean, he was obviously dillusional from the fall. Regaurdless of what they knew about his situation, they neglected numerous courses of action. If they thought he was intoxicated, why not smell him to see if he reeks of anything? If the kid had his hands under his stomach, how hard is it to grab him by the wrists and pull them out? If he had a knife, he wouldn't have gotten a stab in. If he had a gun, he couldn't have had any chance to fire a lethal shot. There is no reason to not take every possible course of action before hitting a kid multiple times with a taser. I don't understand the necessity for a taser shot at all.
December 9, 200817 yr One of my life goals will probably be developing extensive, subtle and scientifically accurate psychological tests for employers that can pick sadistic/power-abusing/possibly pedophilic traits from the subconscious of the employee being interviewed. .. And weed out these people from society so that they'll never decide anything more important than whether a burger should be flipped yet or not.
December 9, 200817 yr Blatant abuse of power. I wonder just how much worse the cops made his back injury through constant tazering considering he would be rolling around and having spasms from the electric shocks.
December 9, 200817 yr Am I missing something? Why did they even need to restrain him? A) As far as I can tell, he's not broken a law. B) His back's broken - he's not going anywhere fast. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
December 9, 200817 yr Am I missing something? Why did they even need to restrain him? A) As far as I can tell, he's not broken a law. B) His back's broken - he's not going anywhere fast. He appeared intoxicated and was muttering things about shooting cops, and the cops wouldn't have known his back was broken - he would have appeared to be some drunk/high kid lying on the ground threatening them with a gun.
December 9, 200817 yr 19 times?! ONCE is bad enough, even if he had been mumbling about killing cops or whatever they don't need to use a tazer that many times, once is enough to subdue someone, twice max. That's why you're on the TZDF blackdawn. Even your balls can tear zombies to shreds.
December 9, 200817 yr tased 19 times my [wagon]. if he was down on the ground saying things, the officers didn't have to use tasers at all. cuff him there. he wasn't gonna struggle with a busted back. seriously, wtf. people are stupid >.> even if the need to taze him was there, any intelligent officer would realize you don't need to tase someone more than once after they are already on the ground. Yes, people with broken backs that say things about shooting cops are really threatening.
If you want to get close enough to smell him be my guest, but that goes against every training class i've ever had. If you don't understand the need for a tazer you are plain [developmentally delayed]ed. Tazers replace beating people physically with batons, clubs, flashlights, as well as straight up shooting them. Mace doesn't work because it doesn't effect some people. Tazers affect everyone, and can bring the subject down without harming him. Its just like locking up your muscles, after it you can get up and walk away. Blatant abuse of power. I wonder just how much worse the cops made his back injury through constant tazering considering he would be rolling around and having spasms from the electric shocks. You don't roll around and spasm, it locks you up. Thats why in videos you see the people drop straight away and not move. Blatant? I don't see blatant, please show me. Am I missing something? Why did they even need to restrain him? A) As far as I can tell, he's not broken a law. B) His back's broken - he's not going anywhere fast. Restraint and Arrest are two TOTALLY different things. Your A is not viable because it was just a restraint not an arrest. Officers are legally allowed to restrain you with handcuffs or other methods without you breaking the law, mainly for their safety as no one is a mind reader and no one is predictable so who knows what the crazy guy you stopped is going to do. If there is any doubt, use restraints. Your B is not viable because he's not wearing a sign that says i have a broken back. And apparently he did not tell the cops, but rather chose to utter stuff like shoot cops.

If there is any doubt, use restraints. Oh, why didn't you say it was a restraint? That makes it OK... That "crazy guy" was a 16 year old boy who for whatever reason fell off a bridge, yet you seem to think it's acceptable that the police go around tazering people 19 times over for scant all reason, and not even have the civil decency to offer an apology for the medical problems it later caused? I would hope the police would be able to recognise when someone is immobile, since they automatically gain control over any accident scene, paramedics included. This throws into question whether the standard police should even be trusted with tazers. In the UK, currently they are not. If I walk into a police station and shout "I'm going to shoot you all dead" even though I'm clearly incapable of carrying that threat out, they should tazer me? They could restrain me, or they could follow common sense and just show me the door. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
December 9, 200817 yr And how do you defend then Kreigmier? That definately looks like rolling around, spasm and then the same deal again when he's hit again once he hits the ground. I really don't give a damn what you say some people who are apparently 'trained' like you, are too [developmentally delayed]ed to handled their equiement. BlueLancer is right, the only job people like that should be doing is flipping burgers... but I still think they'd find some way to burn down the kitchen and kill the rest of their co-workers. Edit: Oh, and if they found him on the side of the road, wouldn't the logical thing to do is call paramedics for a possible hit and run, or fall from the overpass? [wagon]es went with the tazer angle instead of thinking he could've been hit by a vehicle, or worse.
