December 9, 200817 yr Again, you all just assume the media and family is correct about 19 times and what happened, like we were all there. We don't honestly know everything. I think everyone is downplaying HOW the kid got there in the first place. Falling off an overpass?? You don't just fall off overpasses. As for that video, ok so the guy is in a select minority? You ever seen people on PCP? They can hardly be stopped by a brick wall. Look at the other parts of the video, thats what i want to defend. A crazy man in an airport that is very threatening and the police did what they should of done. Plus the video is biased towards the man. Its very common to pin the head, neck, and shoulders to the ground with knees btw.
December 9, 200817 yr Even if they felt they needed to use a tazer, once is enough. Yes we don't know if they are over exaggerating or not but it's not like this kind of thing hasn't happened before. Stop trying to make it sound like all cops are good guys krieg.
December 9, 200817 yr The 19 times is bs. Of course, the kid's back was broken, he'd be of no threat. The cop was an idiot, common sense would dictate to help out instead of simply tazing someone. They need to have the decency to at least apologize for it. And Krieg, not all cops are good, just about every one in this town is corrupt. This country needs to have tasers stripped from all cops, a glock is enough for most situations within reason. Answer this one question though: How much power should cops truly get? They honestly have way too much power in my eyes. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
December 9, 200817 yr They tasered him while he was lying there with a broken back...? Wth? :| [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying.

Stop trying to make it sound like all cops are good guys krieg. Majority are, if you read above i stated that not all cops are good. But yes the majority are. I totally agree once is enough if needed or warranted, and thats what i'm trying to say, we don't even know if it was 19 times. Ultimania, a glock is more useful then a tazer? A glock may be pointed at you but in most cases its just an empty threat and the person knows this. A tazer can fulfill that threat. Lol everyone crying about cops. Must be cool to hate the police or something. Kids these days... POINT IS. If the guy had been sane and spoken clearly and conveyed what was wrong to the police, the situation probably would of never escalated. And as we all know, he didn't do that. He should of chosen his words better. The part i call BS about is no alcohol or drugs in his system.
December 9, 200817 yr The 'Tasered 19 times' claim is BS. And if they feel they can tell a lie, my confidence in the rest of their claims disappears in a cloud of purple smoke. ~ W ~

You act as if he was choosing to say that. Something was wrong with him and, yes, we don't know the entire story. Still it doesn't surprise me because cops seem to use their tazers too much instead of a last effort.
December 9, 200817 yr Lol everyone crying about cops. Must be cool to hate the police or something. Kids these days... Absolutely. Talking about it on an Internet forum even gets you laid these days. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

I'm not the snitchy type, I'd still report if my friend as a fellow soldier was doing something illegal or morally questionable like torturing civilians or looting. Just because you are a cop or soldier does not mean you instantly have to defend every other cop/soldier, even if they are pedophiles or sadist freaks. Absolutely dumb to hate cops for the sake of hating them... But if they commit offences (even presidents do, why on Earth is a police officer any different?), they have to be brought to justice.

He was obviously tazzed more then once(Im not a expert) because of, in the article, they couldn't do operation because of the tazzing cause white blood cells to go near the tazz'd spots. Reminds me of the canadian cops who tazered a guy to death in an airport :uhh: Seriously? :? Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
December 9, 200817 yr You guys overreact too much. The police did what they thought right, and I don't think they tazed him 19 times, the guy would've gone unconsious before, one would think. This is news exaggerating things again, like usual
December 9, 200817 yr They tasered him while he was lying there with a broken back...? Wth? :| He appeared intoxicated and was muttering things about shooting cops, and the cops wouldn't have known his back was broken - he would have appeared to be some drunk/high kid lying on the ground threatening them with a gun. Yes, people with broken backs that say things about shooting cops are really threatening. The 'Tasered 19 times' claim is BS. How do you claim that? For starters the media owned by private companies exist to make money, not inform. Also, because of my recent scrape with the media. I'm not trying to say what the cops did was right, I'm saying there are two sides to every story and it would appear that the cops made a decision on the spot when threatened to protect themselves and carried it out. It's easy to criticize, but I'm sure most people here would use a tazer when some intoxicated guy is talking about shooting you.

I would report it too. IF i had ROCK HARD evidence against it. With this its like trying to grab a handful of air. The evidence pointing one way or another is not there, its all speculation because we havn't read the police reports, havn't seen the dash cam, were not there, and have not heard the officers side of the story. At this point in time no one on this forum can prove, beyond reasonable doubt that the officers were in the wrong. There is no clear and convincing evidence for either side. As a police officer, i am involved in the law. As such i like to look at all angles before jumping to conclusions, even if it may turn out i'm siding with the guilty party, at least give them a chance to present all the evidence before judging them. Welcome to the American court system. I pull up to a collision, its easy to assume what happened from the cars, but i still have to take a statement from both parties involved and look at the whole thing. Everyone here is SO quick to judge. Like said above, the Media is there to stir up a story, one that will get reactions like this. They don't really care whats always true, if they can twist it and bend it into their favor they will. And they will show it because you people watch it. Remember all the graphic horrible stories and reports from Iraq? Yeah, you never saw anything good during those days did you? Never saw us building schools, giving aid to families, rebuilding hospitals, installing a new water system, interacting with the kids, giving them school supplies....why? Because its boring. People don't want to watch it. They want a shock or a borderline fiction. Again, don't be so quick to judge.

People don't want to watch it. They want a shock or a borderline fiction. Again, don't be so quick to judge. Get the chip off your shoulder about the media. Because there's three obvious things that run against you: 1) In a country as solicitor-happy as the US, why would anyone go onto a news channel with potentially libellous claims? I know I sure as Hell wouldn't. 2) There are witnesses to the boy falling off the bridge. 3) The BBC is recognised as the one of the most impartial broadcaster's in the world, and they have shown some of the positive work. The fact of the matter is this: There's [bleep] all to show because of the volatile situation in Iraq and Afghanistan, which itself has been caused mostly by the coalition's actions. We're pumping loads of money into those two areas, and hardly any of it is having any effect, according to the BBC. You make it sound like we're building a wonderful utopia where unicorns majestically skip across the (err... desert) - that simply is not the case. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

December 9, 200817 yr The 'Tasered 19 times' claim is BS. How do you claim that? It would be very unlikely for the laddy buck to be alive. I was always taught once was more than enough with any person, and a bear would fall after four. By the way, people trust a Youtube video of some relatively small news station's report more than the police? I find that ridiculous. 2) There are witnesses to the boy falling off the bridge. They weren't exactly telling the police that, were they? catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
December 10, 200817 yr WHAT THE [bleep]!? Those cops should be sent to Guantanamo, beaten and tazed every day, and be given extremely slippery soap. After a few weeks of pain and misery, they should have THEIR backs broken, drenched in water and then electrocuted to death. Sigh, silly sheep. People who think they can be judge, jury, and executioner.
December 10, 200817 yr These are the things that generally annoy me. Greatly. It also reminds of the Taser incident at Vancouver international a year. It fact it is a coincidence. Confused, injured(in some way), who poses no threat. Yet somehow, the guy ends up dead. Dead scary. Makes me wonder. Should be more afraid of the thug with the heater or copper with the taser?
December 10, 200817 yr By the way, people trust a Youtube video of some relatively small news station's report more than the police? I find that ridiculous. That's why we have these things called inquiries, for when two people's account of events don't match up with each other. You can't automatically trust someone, no matter who they are, when they are the accused. Only, these cost money, so are usually conducted by an independent body commissioned the authorities. As far as I can tell, no inquiry has made at all into this. That in itself makes me suspicious about the police's guilt here. Maybe there's something they don't want appearing to the public? In which case, just apologise and spin the usual crap about how 'procedures have been changed to ensure this doesn't happen again'. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

December 12, 200817 yr As much as I dislike police, we really aren't in a position to make a judgment on this. We haven't got any reliable information, we don't know exactly what happened etc, and until we do we can't possibly assume anything from this because we really just have no idea. Hey.
December 12, 200817 yr By the way, people trust a Youtube video of some relatively small news station's report more than the police? I find that ridiculous. Police lie ALL THE TIME in court/have eachothers backs if they do anything wrong etc. Not saying all police are liars, but if you really think they can be trusted with something like this then you're just insane. Hey.
