Slayer and Duradel tasks

Ok, i got really angry. Duradel gave me task : 192 Black Demons, i cancel it, got NEW task: 196 Black demons, i cancel it, got another NEW task 192 Black Demons, iI CANCEL IT

 

 

 

There must be something wrong here, or Jagex is getting really sloppy. How can i get SAME tasks after i canceled it?

 

 

 

Should i pick another master for a couple of tasks?

Duradel fails at times, do the task and continue your slaying.

Either permanently block them or do them. Getting similar back to back tasks has been introduced with smoking kills.

 

If you consider that being sloppy, that's your opinion. Slayer is about killing monsters...

if Duradel annoys you do While Guthix Sleeps and kill him (wtach him die). That pretty much solves every problem 8-)

Abyssal demons, nechryaels, banshees, black demons, fire giants, etc. etc. The best thing that Duradel assigns that Sumona doesn't is waterfiends.

 

 

 

But Sumona does give some nooby tasks, like basilisks.

I just remind myself that I get good xp and charms from black demons (chaos tunnels of course). My limit is 2 tasks in a row and then I just use 30 points to cancel. Lapalok is no better than Duradel on repetition.

However I do get annoyed by 3+ Black Drag tasks in a row, so I blocked them. End of that problem.

nechryaels - oh surprise - duradel gives that too

 

banshees - ok that one is correct

 

black demons ... - duradel strikes again

 

fire giants - and again ...

There was great satisfaction in watching Duradel die, but tbh he only assigns 3-4 "Bad" tasks, everything else is awesome if you know how to do it.

 

 

 

Btw, Black Demons are a great task with an SGS, Bunyip, and a few pineapple pizzas. That allows you to get by about 140 demons without prayer. But even with prayer, it's good.

Well, I just wanted to say, that it si really stupid, if you cancel a task and get the SAME one over and over again. I am not whining about the task, i am just saying, that when i cancel a task, i should got NEW one, like...hmmm...some other monster? I am just angry because i lost points for nothing. And that should be fixed.

there isnt a bug , so there is nothing to fix ...

 

players get more spoiled with every update, they gave you the chance to cancel a task , its bad luck that the next task was the same , not a bug ... so - there is nothing to be fix, if you dont like it then dont use the points ... if you use them - use them wisely , in other words ban the fkin demons so they wont give them to you again

I don't mind my tasks from lapalok, i skip Steel Drags and Skeletal wyverns, and the 4 on my ban list are down to preference although some enjoy them, at 99 summon, i think there should be more space on ban list because theres more qps now, but thatd be added after i reached 99 slay just like duel ring speed got increased week after 99 rc :\.

 

 

 

But i had 4 metal tasks in a row before that was pretty bad :\ also a 56 no abby demon/ dark beast streak but it happens you can get 3 in a row of anything just unlucky if its a bad one! what i say? deal with it, you cant always get what you want

Ya it happens sometimes, but its only bad if its a task you HATE. Nobody complains about 3 Abyssal Demon tasks in a row!

 

 

 

My Advice:

 

What I do is do shilo until I get bored of repeated tasks, then move to sumona. One thing I like about sumona is that she has VARIETY, while shilo doesn't. In fact she has almost TWICE as many monsters on her list than shilo does. (I would wish Jagex would give more higher level tasks to shilo like Avians and such..) Sure she has some lower level tasks on there, but sometimes those are a nice breather to metal dragons and demons all the time.

 

 

 

Typically the best way to go about doing this is:

 

Tasks 1-5 do Sumona.

 

Tasks 6-10 do Shilo.

 

 

 

This way you get the max points on your 10th tasks by using shilo, but also get a bit of variety in what your killing without losing some good tasks in the process. This typically also cuts down on getting tasks in a row because if you get steel dragons on tasks 4 and 5, you cant get them until task 1 again. Vise versa is true for sumona tasks.

I think everyone in this thread is completely missing the pointt he OP was making.

 

He was complaining that he cancelled a task got a new one and it was the same monster he just cancelled. Logically, it shouldn't happen. He is not asking whether black demons are good or not and he is not complaining that it is possible to get the same moster several times in a row. Like I said, he is saying that after cancelling a monster logically the next monster should not be the monster you just cancelled.

 

 

 

Maybe it is not a bug, but it sure as hell doesn't make much sense.
