doubt it'd be Tinderboxes, i think pyrelords use those, plus at TETAU's X-Mas drop Sophia1900 dropped 20k tinderboxes. So if it does happen to use tinderboxes, the person who got them is going to be rolling in fire. (i'd say money but you know...Phoenix joke : )

There will be a big Phoenix for the quest, I think you can get the secondary items whatever they will be from it... Or somewhere near it, maybe there will be Phoenixes that you can fight or so... Or even better, Jagex said that they will respawn from ashes, maybe you can get the secondary item from the big Phoenix after completing the quest and nowhere else? And if you lose it you can get it back from that big Phoenix.

I hope that it can evolve/grow up when you reach higher levels, plus it's a legendary bird, so I'm hoping Level 99 Summoning will give it something unique!

I'm not too worried about it. I feel sure that it won't be feathers, because they're stackable (No other pouch has a stackable secondary ingredient). I suppose it could be ashes, but those are so easily obtained that we will never be in any real danger of running out.

 

 

 

And besides, my crystal ball isn't working that well. I wrongly predicted both of today's NFL playoff games. Who thought the Arizona Cardinals would be any good? :roll:

Well considering we need to do the mini game to MAKE the phoenix after completing the quest:

 

 

 

 

Some months ago, we asked you to vote on the next Summoning familiar, and you chose the phoenix. There were some great discussions on the forums taking the idea far beyond what we had originally imagined, so we decided to expand the idea out to another 'Distraction and Diversion' similar to the Shooting Star update or Bork from the Chaos Tunnels. Youll find this update (planned for early next year) features not only a new Summoning creature and a repeatable activity, but also a quest!

 

 

 

And looking at the phoenix mini game image:

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think its safe to say, you will need to burn some logs on the phoenix alter to receive some phoenix ashes which will be the second ingredient. Because its a Dis&Div mini game, it will only be available once a day/week, so you wont be able to mass produce them.

A wild guess from me would be the fire feather you get from the fire bird at entrana, but if i remember right, you can only have one at a time. But that is just a wild guess.

Ashes would be too common, feathers are stackable so they are out of the running too.. Firebird feather from entrana is my only thought.

I´m confused, is this going to be a quest? Because every time a new quest is introduced, Jagex says the name in the BtS.

Maybe the quest is just called: The Phoenix.

mosqitoes secondary (proboscis) is stackable.

 

 

 

They probably will make a new item along with the 'tutorial', maybe even a minigame to get the ingrediant.
