I love the tactic games already. Finished Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions.

Play advanced. It was a great game. despite the name it's not just a port of the original FFT.

Trying to get by grubby hands on it. As soon as I buy expect me not to log on for two weeks people!

Wongton is better than me in anyway~~

No clue what you're talking about, sorry. Never played it. At one point in FFX, Lulu tells you "Not to fall in love with (Input summoner's name here.)" Three options:

Don't worry, I won't.

Uh, it's a little late for that...

And, the best of all:

Well, actually, Lulu, you're more my type.

I think that's the option I took. :-P

That would be one of those scenes that affect your level.

Too late - yuna compassion level up

Don't worry, I wont - Neutral (Or Rikku, i'm not sure, Logically i'd say it's Rikku since all other scenes had two options until rikku showed up)

You're more my type, Lulu - (Do I really have to say it?)

I gave up on Tactics for like the 3rd time. I'm really starting to hate that game. The enemy always has the upper hand in every way possible. You can't even train on the game because the enemies match your team's average level.

Yeah you pretty much have to beat them in skill.

Just watched the TGS 09 FF13 trailer with the english dub.

...PRAYING for japanese with subs option on the western release.

Sub > Dub. Lips were out of synch, looks terrible -.-

I've a feeling the story's gonna be cheesy again.

Ah well, lets hope not. Though I heard there's three fighting styles to FF XIII, Not sure if its just a rumor. Free-Form like kingdom hearts, TBS (Turn Battle System) like X / X-2 and the rest, or the ABS (Active Battle System) from XII.

Either way, It seems promising so far.

Yeah, I'm pretty good on the battle field, but when it comes to giving them abilities and jobs I always seem to mess up.

How do you mess up on that. As long as you know what general class you want it's not hard.

I don't know, I always regret what abilities I spend my JP on.

PS:

I liked most of them, especially Tactics for PS1. Never could beat it though. And there were only a handful of FF's that I didn't beat.

lol

Tactics is bloody awesome.

OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.

O.o The Final Fantasy series Is perhaps the best ever. There are currently 12 different games with a number of spin offs. Each of the main 12 are different stories with the main good vs. evil theme. The games are hard to explain, you have to play them yourself to understand. I recommend starting with FF X (10) for the PS2, gives a pretty good idea of the series. Even FF Crisis core for the PSP is sweet (final scene ftw)

FF Tactics

FF Crystal Chronicles

FF Tactics advanced

They arn't really spin offs. and Tactics advanced is a completely different game from Tactics. Different plot, characters, classes, etc. I'd start with Crisis Core if you have a PSP. It was a great game.

I've Played the following:

FF1: Played the PS1 remake, been meaning to go back and play the original. I liked it.

FF2: Same, I just don't want to replay it. Didn't care for it's lack of traditional leveling

FF7: Best game of them IMHO. I still play it now.

CCFF7: Great game as well, made me shed tears of manhoood at the end.

FF8: Good game, coulda done better with the plot though

FF9: Kuja = win

FFX: Great game, second only to FF7 IMHO

FFX-2: NO. This game was absolute junk. NEVER FORGET

FFXII: Good game, great plot, Gambits made the game to easy.

FFT: Fun game, annoyed me like hell when I couldn't *SPOILER* beat Velius at the end of Chapter 3*END* I had no saves before the castle he was in and had to start the game over.

I grew up playing Final Fantasy, gonna play it till i die.

Apparently there is gonna be a big announcement for FFXIII on Nov 13th.

Also, I'm not sure if everyone has seen the new English video they have released. Looks pretty damn good so far.

I plan to get FF XIII on the first day it is out in Australia, which will probably be early next year. <_<

That battle system looks awesome, though the plot seems like a repeat of the FFVIII plot. A group joins a small resistance movement and while trying to succeed with their goals get sucked into something much bigger.

Sounds better than FFX's story. Hi, i'm Tidus, i'm the most annoying video game character you've ever met and I want to go home, with regular breaks of whinging about his problems. Also, taking to long to get with Yuna. :shame:

You really didn't grasp the story of that game, did you? Or play to the end?

Got to Evrae, and that's when my game screwed up. That's what I got from that far. :wall: Yeah, say what you like. I don't care.

First Tactics gets my vote. Great replay value, and wayyyy more hidden secrets and side-quests than you'd think.

Matra magic makes me happies!
