Well lately I've been really into these diaries, and have completed all of the karmaja, varrock, and lumbridge ones. Tomorow I will be done with the fally one (waiting for yew tree to grow), and then I will do seers and fremminick.

 

 

 

So I've been wondering, what do you think the best reward is so far?

 

 

 

for me it's:

 

1. Karmaja gloves - a slayer's dream

 

2. Explorer's ring - An herb farmer's dream + run energy + free low alchs (good for slayer)

 

3. Varrock armour - Free crafting xp and near 100k profit a day? I'm in.

 

4. Fally armour - Haven't used it yet, but seems AWESOME for praying tasks

 

5. Seers headband - Haven't gotten to it, but it looks meh. Free flax aint bad and good for maple cutters

 

6. Fremmy boots - I'm not sure how these work but from what i've heard/seen it doesn't look to stunning.

 

 

 

 

 

To me, these diaries were a GREAT idea on jagex's part, are very original, and have added some great new features. But what is to come from these diaries?

 

 

 

correct me if I'm wrong but as of now we have gloves, a ring, a plate, a headband, boots, and a shield as rewards for the diaries. I think Jagex will complete the set (necklace, legs, weapon maybe, and cape), and then be done with them. Do you think that at the end of the set they will finally come out with an acheivment diary cape (how sick would a black and bright green cape be?) to trim the quest cape? Only time will tell, but something tells me (3 diaries in the last 2 months) that jagex has an overall plan/end to the acheivment diaries for the near future.

I hope when Jagex fills the weapon slot that it will be with a Wilderness Diary... That would be pwn (Kill a Revenant Dragon as an achievement) :thumbup:

Most of the rewards are not worth it until you get to level 3. That is why when I start I diary I make sure I can do every single task before I start. I've completed all the achievement diaries. I would do them even if the rewards were bad, they let me explore areas I once ignored and perhaps come across features in the game that I never knew about. For example, I never had figured out what the coal trucks did in Seers, but the diary helped me find that out.

 

 

 

Karmaja - tele to shilo

 

Lumbridge - tele to farming patch

 

Varrock - not into the staff thing that much, but you get access to the closest furnace to a bank in the game

 

Falador - prayer recharge is really nice

 

Seers - will probably use excalibur sometime

 

Fremmy - Free teleport to Relekka (finally I could change my house to yanille without losing a fremmy teleport)

and a reward that is like an infused sara/zammy/bandos/arma necklace that gives 15% strength and attack when fighting their bosses and minions :twisted:

Today I did the whole Seers diary in about 1 hour, easy 17k summon xp along with 10k free everyday.

 

I also did the varrock easy diary for the awesome tele spot.

Yeah, i thought it would be cool if the last one filled the cape slot.

 

the easy and mediums could give you a regular cape, but in order to complete the hard tasks you have to have all other diaries done, then you get the acheivment cape as a reward.

 

 

 

How cool would it be if all the items together had a "set effect" when your wearing every possible piece 8-)

disagree, strongly. personally, i use it after my trip to bork to recharge my prayer without going out of the way between my misadventures.

 

 

 

one prayer charge a day? a prayer potion easily out weighs this thing. its lighter, better. much more useful. A vial you could drop and grab a ranarr for. the shield? i doubt someone would destroy this.

 

 

 

 

 

one thing about the varrock armor that was skipped was the double mining ores. combined with stars, triple ore up to adamant. Another is the cooks guild bank, which i am told is repetitively close to a range. Im not going to say closer then the rouges den, but surely the range does not move like the rouges den guy does.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i realize these were your opinions of what the rewards are good for and such, but it seems your over looked it a bit. There are more than 4 places a diary can cover tough...

 

 

 

Ardougne/Fishing Guild/Underground Pass area - melee weapon (sword or something)

 

Yanille/Gu'tanoth all the way south to the resort - magic weapon (staff)

 

Grand Tree/Piscatoris area - amulet

 

Desert Area - arrow-slot filler (possibly not an arrow but something else, second amulet?)

 

Areas east of Salve River (Mort Myre, Meyerditch, Slayer Tower, Canifis etc)

 

Elven Lands - ranged weapon (bow)

I love them too, but I'm a bit dissapointed about the last ones (fally, seers, relekka).

 

 

 

Also, you either get "free" craft xp, or you make profit with those battlestaves. You cant have both of em together.

I buy the staves , I buy the air orbs (at max price) and then sell the air staves at min price ... and hey - I make 75k proffit.

You actually get profit + exp... About 70k per day.

 

 

 

Every diary is worth doing and the equipment is great, except of this last one. The seer's headband is something i wouldn't want to wear.. I think it should be replaced with something that matches the shield and armour.

The Karamja gloves are definately the best reward in my eyes, I liked the Fremmy boots til Ghrim got updated because I made like 75m off him.. Varrock armour is a good second to the gloves, its great for mining and the GE tele :D

yeah same, I think Ardy be the next one as well. i kind of doubt they'll make a trollheim one but, i've been wrong lots of time.

Now the way I see it is the cape is going to be an epic entire of runescape achievement diary to cover the places that the other diaries didn't. Places like the elf lands, keldagrim and the desert whilst too lacking in stuff to do to merit their own diary would come into play here.

 

 

 

Now that would make for an impressive cape :

My guess is that you will get an amulet from Ardrougne or the Al-Kharid area. And the weapon will be from the wilderness. And of course the achievement diary cape after completing all the diaries.

Ah yeah, a diary for the Wilderness would be fun too
