Wongtong
Everytime I see you posting something about music and seeing your sig it makes me smile : . I hope you're smiling about the part about me being superior. Because it is so true...:twss: Hrm rap is okay, I'm still hesitant on it due to the whole mainstream crap they put on the TV/radio, but there's probably tonnes of great rappers out there. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! Some oldish rap: MC Lyte: Cha Cha Cha (1989) Nas: (1992) A Tribe Called Quest: Award Tour (1993) Dr. Octagon: (1996) Sorry, we don't allow sites posted where you can download music illegally. ~ Lionheart_0
warri0r45
For old, "golden age" hip-hop, I'd recommend It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back by Public Enemy. I just listened through it for the first time and really enjoyed it. If you want a choice cut from that album, try "Bring The Noise".

Some oldish rap: MC Lyte: Cha Cha Cha (1989) Nas: (1992) A Tribe Called Quest: Award Tour (1993) Dr. Octagon: (1996) I'll add to that; Grandmaster Flash - The Message Grandmaster Flash - White Lines (don't do it) Grandmaster Flash - Adventures on the Wheels of Steel Proper old school hip hop. We're talking about rap though but when we're talking about the hiphop from grandmaster flash' days: Afrika bambaata & the soulsonic force - Planet rock Cybotron - Clear Davy DMX - One for the treble Eric B. & Rakim - Paid in full Herbie Hancock - Rock it Sugarhill gang - Rappers delight Hashim - Al-naayfish Run DMC - Peter piper Check those songs out : ;>
1_man_army
We're talking about rap though but when we're talking about the hiphop from grandmaster flash' days I reject the distinction between the two as I mentioned earlier. Hip hop music now is just an evolution from hip hop then. edit - You mention some pretty good tracks though, I was listening to Paid in Full earlier. Hmm there is a distinction though; Hip hop is more music-based whilst rap focuses on lyrics. But meh we're both diffirent persons, diffirent interpretations. How2PK
Just a little post to promote the N.A.S.A album: the Spirit of Apollo Which is a pretty cool record. It's got over 40 guest artists and some collaborations are quite surprising. I mean, who would expect Tom Waits and David Byrne on a hip hop record? Other guests: KRS-One, MIA, Santogold, Lykke Li, Ol' Dirty Bastard (he's back from the dead :') ), RZA, Method Man, Chuk D, John Frusciante and others! So, be sure to check it out. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
ChaosFlames
The Game. Favorite (and best imo) Rapper. Lil Wayne's alright. Although I hate people who swear he's the next Tupac or something. Always loved Jeezy, and some of T.I.'s older stuff. [94/99 Ranged][87/99 HP][80/85 Def][70/70 Pray]

iLootChests
When I'm not listening to indie rock I do listen to hip hop. Some of the artist that I listen to Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, The Cool Kids, Common, Gym Class Heroes, JayZ, Lil Wanye (going to one of his concerts on Weds.), Mos Def, N.E.R.D., Shwazye, Wu Tang Clan, Young Jeezy. I listen to others but you'll find me listen to mostly these guys when I do listen to hip hop. Love that list, N.E.R.D. used to be one of my faves but not so much anymore. However, play Lapdance for me and I can't help but smile haha. Fun fact: Pharrell grew up in my town. (and went to HS like 10 mins from my house) :D REPRESENT THE 757! Rap is my favroite type of music, I LOVE the underlying beats going on. And how rappers use different forms of words, to fit their rhyme scheme, some people call it bad grammar, I call it art. (srsly) My favorite Rap\R&B are: Lil' Wayne, Kayne West, Flobots, TI a little bit, not really though. AESOP ROCK (YE SON), then I like occasioanl songs from other various rappers. Ne-Yo is a pretty good R&B. Chris Brown just sucks though. Chris Brown needs to die. Kthx. rofl u hear about him beatin on his girl i hope he goes to jail and gets beat to de@th Effigies: 5 draconic visage:
