January 29, 200917 yr All I can say is good job to whoever took advantage of this  Personally, I didn't Good job? Good job on breaking a rule and good job and being perm banned is what your saying. :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: Please take it elsewhere, I couldnt care less. The day I start getting bothered about people taking advantage of a Jagex slip up is the day I will quit. 2376/2376 total achieved - May 2009 Retired Dec 2009
January 29, 200917 yr quote from rsof this explains the lvl 3 with the slayer cape bragging at the general exchange this morning. i work 2 months straight for 98 but now a level 3 gets it thanks to penguins god jagex.. you really :wall: me off.
January 29, 200917 yr Oh great, I spent a few hours trying to find Penguins where none existed. This, compared to the only glitch I tried (the Ectoplasm-covered Bedsheet Party Room teleport), is madness. Permban is maybe a bit exaggerated, but a rollback of the xp (maybe with a few points extra, they need to learn anyway) seems punishment enough. Not to mention the cash, 3k points with 6.5k each in a few hours.... Eh no. It's not like you ever had a choice to begin with.
January 29, 200917 yr Socks, that guy was being sarcastic lol. The highest amount of Slayer xp gained yesterday via the 'bug' was 1.9m xp 2376/2376 total achieved - May 2009 Retired Dec 2009

January 29, 200917 yr I presume Jagex can track the people that have abused the bug and will ban them? I mean.. seriously.. you can't just let people be that have gotten several instant 99's. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science

I mean.. seriously.. you can't just let people be that have gotten several instant 99's. 3 months ago somebody abused a fruit tree patch bug in which check health stayed there and didnt change so they got a few mill xp and got 99 farming that day, he wasnt banned so why would they ban these people.
January 29, 200917 yr Exactly what Socks just said. Also, find me one person who got a 99 from it yesterday all I've seen so far is 1.9m Slay xp and 1.7m Runecraft? 2376/2376 total achieved - May 2009 Retired Dec 2009

Because it's bug abuse. Just because one person didn't get caught doesn't mean it's allowed all of a sudden. Especially with a bug that caused quite the bit of impact on the game. Exactly what Socks just said. Also, find me one person who got a 99 from it yesterday all I've seen so far is 1.9m Slay xp and 1.7m Runecraft? Well I don't know, but it isn't relevant either. Point still stands. It's still more than enough to get banned. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science

January 29, 200917 yr Can't believe people got away with it and I wasn't there to do it :( I would have finally got 99 summoning with that
January 29, 200917 yr Can't believe people got away with it and I wasn't there to do it :( I would have finally got 99 summoning with that I was there but decided not to take advantage of that cause I love my character too much to risk getting it banned. No regrets :)
January 29, 200917 yr It appears the penguin hunters can't control themselves (thats about them on a regular basis) I think everyone who abused deserves a ban and the other reward of having the penguins removed for a couple weeks.
January 29, 200917 yr The penguins have been re-released into the game. [quote name="Jagex Mod' date=' Mod Nancy on 29-Jan-2009 14] System Update- We've fixed the Penguin Hide and Seek Minigame. Penguins are now back roaming over RuneScape, for your spying enjoyment. Sorry for the inconvenience. Mod Nancy
January 29, 200917 yr posted this on rsof thought it was worth putting here too :P reminds me of this back in the day Unfortunately the digsite quest released yesterday had a number of problems, and was not possible to complete as a result. These problems have now been fixed, so it is now possible to complete the quest. You can get the specimen-brush you need to finish the quest by pickpocketing one of the workmen. I sincerely apologise for the botched release of this quest. The members of staff responsible will be fed to the king-black-dragon shortly. which staff will be visiting the kbd today
January 29, 200917 yr Perhaps a punishment a little less severe than a ban for those that abused the bug could be all their points/penguin exp since the beginning of the D&D removed and then unable to spy on the penguins forever. January 29, 200917 yr I'd say do a stats reset. All stats back to level 1. Just like what happened in the old days if you were macroing. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science

January 29, 200917 yr Wow all these big bugs happen on specific days 6/6/6 and yesterdays 1/28/9 12 89 :P
January 29, 200917 yr I think jagex should be very heavy handed with anybody who abused this. Imo, the punishment should be all exp gained taken away, and then taken away again. Eg. if somebody gained 1m rc exp, they will lose that 1m, and then another 1m, setting them back 1m exp to what they started with. If jagex does good punishment for abusing bugs, less people will do them in the first place. Want to be my friend?
