sirlonewolf Posted February 7, 2009 Author Share Posted February 7, 2009 I wish jagex would not keep us in the dark, i am getting a Stomach Alsur (lol) from all this waiting in suspens for mechscape / stellar dawn things i will like to know 1: what skill will there be how menny and to what level will u be able to train them 2: story line, what type of quest, mini quest and mini games will be avalible wen the game is releast 3: character development. will there be diffrent starting races,classes and or factions. 4:modes of transport ect. vehicles and Teleportation devices ( not by magical means ) 5:equipment , inventory slots how meny will there be 6:the playable world and environment. will there be one world like in runescape or multiple planets each with there own environment 7: player vs player, player vs monster and player vs environment. how will this be implemented. 8: bots, autoers, trade limits and rwt. hope thy dont break the game and make it unpleasant for us legal and honest players. 9: contents updates. how freequnt will it be 10: the cost of membership this is what i would like to know and if i forgot someting please post it Ps: a estimated time of release. K112 Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 After searching around on that site i found a little bit more about the trade mark: Stellar Dawn If you look at the status square, you can see it's different classes. If you then look down box named "List of goods and services" you can see what the different classes means. So in a quick guess, I have a feeling it's a shop site. But also a slight chance to be a game site if you read class 41. Edit: Darn, you are faster then me me. And yes, it has the same classes as the other games, so it might be another game. He told the interviewer about mechscape AND a totally different game that is scheduled to be released in 2010. Known internally as the 2010 endeavour this untitled project was announced by Iddison at the GameHorizon conference back in June 2008. According to one attendee Jagex "have plans for a third MMO sometime in 2010" which "may use micro-transactions" [11]. Henrique said in June 2008 that "subscription model is not dead, and I personally doubt it will ever be. Nonetheless, this doesn't justify a dismissal of other revenue models, and anyone not considering them seriously when designing new MMOs (or hiding behind poor justifications for this matter) will be doomed to get old in a market that's all about innovation" [46]. In July 2008 they posted an advert for the position "Head of MMORPG" [36] which in some postings had the job code "ho2010" [37] and is therefore likely to be for the Head of ThirdScape role. This vacancy interestingly stated "knowledge or experience of developing products for multiple platforms" as a useful attribute. In December 2008 a job vacancy was discovered which seemed to be for a ThirdScape content developer role [38]. According to one Jagex employee the company held a brainstorming session for the game in late July involving both senior content developers and more junior staff. But it doesn't feel right for them to be changing mechscape to Stellar Dawn (even though it's a cool name). Maybe it's something related to Mechscape? Like maybe a book or something that'll accompany it when the game is released? Stellar dawn would fit a name for something like that since it's the dawn of the game. I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. The Dark Lord Posted February 7, 2009 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Maybe a new funorb game, or you could be dead right, the name for mechscape, and the name 'mechscape' could just be a codename they used for it. If you check the list closely, you will see that it contains both "Mechscape" and "Stellar Dawn". yes that is true but mechscape was regested in 2005 and it could have been a codename used till the real name stellar dawn was regested. They could have also registered both names so they have rights to them while they wait for the official name, or one could be a Funorb game based on MechScape. It would sort of be like how Armies of Gielinor is based on RuneScape. EDIT: It also says Stellar Dawn is an application, while the others are all different. Maybe it will be sold at stores and installed onto computers, just like Halo and WoW. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
