February 13, 200917 yr I am training my slayer right now at brimhavan dungeon on Greater Demons. I noticed there is a small red portal right near the flight of stairs. When the portal is clicked it simply takes me down the stairs... hmm makes no sense? The red portal is the same style of the ones located in polivnich slayer dungeon. also the fire giants are has one near these stairs. Just a bug? or portal to scaperune? hmm can anyone else find anymore of these odd red portals? Feel free to add me ingame if you want to chat :D
February 13, 200917 yr Im pretty sure it is a bug. There was a portal in the Enchanted Valley Fairy Ring Place once. It wasnt possible to walk past the waterfall once HD was released, so there was a portal there instead. February 13, 200917 yr It's probably a bug, it doesn't seem to really serve any particular function other than transport :( To the game, stairs are considered portals to another level, teleporting you to a square somewhere else. February 13, 200917 yr They were also at red dragons a few months back. The reason behind the portals are due cos the stairs or agility methods being glitched. The portals are just there so you can still get to the monsters. Hopefully by next weeks update they should be removed and everything back to normal. jaGex just put them there so you can still play the game normally. February 13, 200917 yr so this is jagex' temporary fix? Yes. Appereantly they cannot fix the stairs by regular means, so they use some sort of magic ability to let us use the stairs, while they are attempting to come up with a solution.
