Saradomin_Mage
Also, why would he take a pic? The only use for it is to share it, just proving he RWT'ed. I suppose he's only 11. I'm quite sure that the pic was taken by the hackers who were transferring the stuff from Timmy via Bounty Hunter. Timmy (Hellslayer H) wouldn't be so dumb to BH with a horrible setup like that In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. NuckingFuts
He was a victim of phishing, not hacking. From that fake Runescape site that Timmy decided to go on. That aside... good read :D To be honest, What happened to Timmy was an epic fail in the making.
70kyews
This kid really makes me realize that most of the people that I see running around in Runescape, no matter how touch they act, are little eleven year old, cry-baby, rule breaking brats. LOL. This could take a while.
sees_all1
I think Jagex should ban Timmy for RWT. I don't care that he lost his stuff, or the money put into the account, other people have been banned quicker for lesser things. Although imagine the PR Jagex would get when the reporter explained the situation to Jagex, and the only response Jagex gave was - "Timmy admitted to RWT. It is a violation of rule 12, and the penalty is that he's banned." Whining idiots like Timmy ruin the game. 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪

Mucky
This one made me laugh. I can only assume the reporter had no idea that "Timmy" was breaking some major rules. I think someone needs to explain to Grandma that "Timmy" isn't the innocent victim she thinks he is. I know he is only 11 but its still hard not to laugh about the situation. Ixindor
If your letter gets answered, care to post the answer here too? Yeah, if he responds, I'll let you all know what he had to say about it. If the dude is cool, or even gives a crap about what he reported, then maybe he will talk to Jagex one on one. That would be a stretch, but hey, its worth a try at least. After thinking about it for a while, I've finally figured out what bothered me so much. Its the fact that Timmy was doing RWT in the spotlight and no one but the RS Community knew it. I look at RWT as one of the most offensive things you can do in this game. RWT brought down a huge hammer on us all and in the end has affected us all. And I'm still not totally convinced he knew what he was doing entirely. Aged 11 is a little young. He may have been able to use a computer well, but I don't think he knew the rules to a "T" like we do. I'm hoping at the least, that the reporter will at least do a follow up story to something relevant to RWT and its impact on Runescape and/or other MMORPG's. The thing is its tough to believe he didnt know. If it was done since the rwt ingame changes? (Considering he has played for years apparently. Which suggests to me he has played atleast over a year.) Its rather difficult nowadays - Even a 11 year old should of understood there was something wrong. I guess I was smarter when I was 11 as im sure I would of realised there was something wrong. Some people seem to think if your 11 you are dum or something. I say otherwise.. I say if he felt he was mature + responsible enough to play then good for him. He must follow the rules like everyone else though. Perhaps when I was.. 5 or 6? But by the age of 11 I understood wrong, right and suspicious activity when I was doing it. Some people choose to cheat at games and not care. Fair enough if thats what they are going to do but obviously having the news report your a cheater isnt a smart thing to do. Its down right rude and idiotic for the newsgroup to deliver hate towards jagex for this younger player who really shouldnt of been playing if he wasnt mature enough yet. The guardians should of read the rules before giving permission and learn to not trust everything a young person tells them when it involves real money.. Aiding in real life illegal activity in the process. This kid would be famous if anyone bothered to remember his name. Which im not lol. Innocent users can easily get caught in the block. I don't believe an IP/range block is needed in this case at the moment. Timmy's IP is already probably flagged after this whole incident and I doubt he will easily revert to his old ways with all this current media, public, and Jagex attention. On Topic: Your letter is articulated incredibly well. I just fear that the length may cause him simply to skim through it or possibly disregard it all together. But in reality, an investigative reporter should be willing to read through that length of material (which is ironically what he was suppose to do in the first place with this hacking story). ~Retired 13-July-2010~Thanks for the great memories folks :).
