Got The "Cluster Bomb" title today. Its the one on the first page between Preemptive Strike and Low Profile. Got it by pure luck too, Was doing the emergency airdrop glitch and got one that all 4 packages were the precision airstrike. Called them in where my packages were and all noobs were flocking too them. Called in all 4 at the same time and lit up the whole team.

I'm like 35k xp from Rank 67 Fourth Prestige, but I might not get that for a few days because of Mass Effect 2 :D

Today though I pretty much sniped only, Intervention on most maps and Barrett w/ Thermal (hate me) on grassy maps. I have nearly 1,500 kills with the intervention and around 600 w/ the Barrett. I also stopped using the chopper gunner in favor of the pavelow, to me it seems better because you get it faster, you can still kill people while it's up in the air and it seems to get the same or more kills on most maps other than wasteland.

I think it's using more than 1 PA at once for the challenge that requires you to get 5 kills with 1, it only counts it as 1 air-strike or something like that, so you can easily get it.

theres also a care package glitch that gives you ac130 (or something really good) each time you call one in

Anyone from Australia here that gets constantly yellow or red barred? And are IW planning to fix this connection problem anytime soon? My omputer connection was always green, but now I go play xbox live and its yellow or red. In other words, I keep getting my assed kicked because I'm a second slower than everyone else.

 

Connections are great for all my other games, WaW, Halo 3, BIA: HH etc. but this game is just ridiculously bad connections for anyone living in Australia -.-.

 

So, if you're experiencing the problem or know if there going to fix it please let me know...

It depends on who is hosting the game I think. If you host, then you should have a good connection, while everyone else has a not-so-good one. If that isn't the case, then I don't know what it is about :mellow:

If you live in America, you're bound to get a good connection, because you are given priority to host (there are more Americans playing online then there are Australians, well for me anyway). And they're given priority anyway because they get a better connection to begin with (I'd average around a 3 bar connection on the computer, but that was good enough to play normally). Problem is, American players often host on other games like WaW and Halo 3 and I still get a full bar connection, but never with MW2.

 

Hopefully they've realised the issue, and are working to give us a better connection sometime in the future. Not many friends I know play it anymore because of the crap connections they get every game.

 

EDIT: It seems that people are trying to get a local search option to be added to the game. Problem is that Australian players get paired up with a primarily American game, instead of grouping us all together in a game so we have a half-decent connection, like 3 bars. But no, it seems that they "overlooked" this feature. I get great games on WaW because of this. As well as Halo 3, and all my other games. But they didn't add this in.

 

Lots of Australian gamers are getting pretty fed up about it. I don't think I'll be playing much MW2 until they fix it sadly :(.

It's so obvious when people abuse it and it just ruins the entire game.. :thumbdown:

Is it possible to ignore your previous four packages, and then do another emergency airdrop, right on top of those four, giving you EIGHT? Or... TWLEVE? Or... *shudders* SIXTEEN? Boy the entire match would be swarming that spot.

Last night me and some friends had the best two games of HCSnD ever! The other team was all riot shield boosting, one round I got a triple thumper kill, the next round a friend of mine got a four man thumper kill, and the next round I got a four man thumper kill. The game after my friend used a harrier strike on the other team's spawn at the begining of the round and got a 6 man bombing, the round was probably 20 seconds long at max.

Death to the boosters!

That care package patch cannot come soon enough. Also with it I'd like to see a feature where anyone using the Marathon/Lightweight/Commando [bleep] setup has a callsign which just reads "I suck too much to aim a gun".

 

Found the perfect spot for FMJ kills, on Sub Base theres a room with a big grated turbine or something in the middle, stand behind it and gun people down through the wire as they come in through the doors. Works best if you put a claymore on one side so you only need to watch one door.

know what i hate? people using the infinite carepackages to get the airdrop inbound III. im fairly certain theyre doing it that way. all [bleep]s tbh

I haven't even played since this care package glitch has started sweeping through. I have too many other games to play.

I'm pretty sure its not that widespread, but care package knifing scum are starting to become more common, along with people who have worked out that Bling 1887s return them to their previous ridiculous range. But luckily all this stuff is actually being patched. There are some things IW doesn't seem to be aware of or isn't patching, e.g. Pave Low glitch and stuff like FMJ on the Spas 12 doesn't seem to do anything.

The way I see it, all games are buggy when they come out. The reason I always buy Valve games on PC is because they always patch their PC games.

 

P.S. Why are knifers scum? They're not that hard to deal with, you can see them coming a mile away. They're also fun to play as on Favela.

 

I find Model and Ranger akimbo guys much more annoying.

Because this is a shooting game and knifing someone across a whole room is just plain [developmentally delayed]ed.

Or delete tactical knife so they can't knife everybody as fast.
