If this is true the double attachments, clan system, and new guns excite me the most.

 

 

 

Regardless if it's true or not though, I'll be happy with any maps that arn't Bloc or any of the map packs.

I loved COD4' s campaign, which I just played through recently as I just got an xbox december and got WaW first. I borrowed COD4 from a friend and the multiplayer is awesome too. I loved the campaign so much I got 1000/1000 full G on it. Mile High Club was epic and awesome. Completing it on veteran after a small struggle was a great feeling. Can't wait for MW2.

1. All the weapons from the original are coming again.

 

Ok so I think this is probably a good thing, All the weapons in the first game were pretty much perfectly balanced, you just had to find the right setup in perks for the gun.

 

2. 3 maps from the original are coming back with a few noticeable tweaks here & there.

 

3 maps from the original, Laziness? or public demand? Who knows? This also says to me that there will be some single player based around the same sort of areas for them to include the same maps?

 

3. There is a total of 16 maps including 3 from the original.

 

Nice to know theres a lot more maps, hopefully this won't bring too many map bugs/glitches.

 

4. 20 new weapons will be added to the inventory & the most noticeable are the FAMAS assault rifle, HK PSG-1 sniper rifle, MP7 sub machine gun, AA12 fully automatic shotgun, MG4 LMG and the .44 magnum revolver.

 

20 new weapons? :shock: Ok this is quite a big step from the last game, so this probably means they will up the level cap to spread the new stuff out a bit, which is a good thing, I'm sure. I still think they need to add a function so that we can switch between different fire modes, for example m16: Single or burst.

 

5. Multiple attachment perk has been added which allows 2 attachments to be added to a weapon.

 

Oh yes!

 

6. The Single Player Campaign is predicted to last 7+ hours.

 

Hmm, I think I completed the first campaign in about 3-4, so making it double the size could be a good thing or it could just be more of the same, making it more tedious.

 

7. Co-op Mode has been added.

 

Thats pretty cool

 

8. A new Alien Terrorist co-op mode is also added with details still unknown.

 

Sounds like a newer version of nazi zombies

 

9. The multiplayer is set to have 4 new modes above the original modes.

 

I'm guessing taking another leaf from treyarch and putting in capture the flag and War, Probably hardcore aswell.

 

10. A new CLAN system & TOURNAMENT system will be added.

 

Can't go wrong with clan support and tournament. Clan rankings would be pretty cool

 

 

 

-If these leaks are true, and I hope to god they are, this should leave players begging for more, more than call of duty 4. I really can't wait for the release date :D

You do realize that every game with online support ever has had dedicated servers. They're not special or anything, just a server that can run 24/7 without anyone playing on it. I'm pretty sure they're in every online game and every system always.

 

 

 

COD4 and COD5 are hosted by players. Not even the ones with the best connection, it's random, therefore it sucks.

^Yeah, its very stupid. I still think it should be game chosen by the best KDR in the previous game (no, not the highest amount of kills - unless the game has literally NO rigged weapons).

I think best connection, the host has no power over the game, therefore them being a bit crap wouldn't affect it. That is, if there wasn't the stupid system of ending the game when the host leaves, not just transferring it.

Hosts in COD4 and COD5 are picked by whoever has the lowest ping to a server that is in America somewhere, just because someone has a low ping to that server doesn't mean they can host a full 6 v 6 game. The system is flawed.

I'll wait till I see some confirmation before believing this. Though none of it is beyond the realms of possibility. The system of hosting is COD4's biggest problem and if that were fixed, weapons were balanced, maps don't suck, and the game isn't released with massive glitching then I can see it being close to perfect. Basically everything cod5 was not.

Since nobodies mentioned it yet, for the 3 maps returning it's extremely unlikely to be any of the American campaign ones (I.e Middle East) due to that part of the plot ending in a Nuclear explosion, unless all soldiers were in bullet proof radiations suits for missions or multiplayer :-k

I went over to my friends house and saw they had achievements for cod4 and I was like... IW YOU HAVE BETRAYED ME...

 

 

 

Well trophies came out 6 months after the game. But even Treyarch could be bothered to add trophies to waw so they will be there on release. Also I'm not sure the PS3 is not updated, it got the new playlists at the same time as the Xbox.

I've played both games (cod4 &5) for both systems... Yeah they got maps at the same time... But if you've played both you would be able to SEE the differences..

They've always seemed the same to me. Yes there are slight graphical enhancements on the PS3 but i'd say its negligible.

Not because I hate SMGs, (I dont really but you probably think i do guys >.>), I hope CoD6 isnt like all the other cod games. All the cod games have been SMG wins games. I want this to be one where an SMG versus a rifle could work in the rifles favour.

Up close an SMG should beat a rifle, across range is where a rifle should win.

Not because I hate SMGs, (I dont really but you probably think i do guys >.>), I hope CoD6 isnt like all the other cod games. All the cod games have been SMG wins games. I want this to be one where an SMG versus a rifle could work in the rifles favour.

 

 

 

COD4 was not an "SMG wins game", except on small maps where it would be logical to use an SMG.

 

 

 

Obviously an SMG will win at close range, and it would be unfair for a rifle to have an equal chance against it as it would be unblanced as rifles can also perform at range.

 

 

 

It is unfair to judge the cod series from WaW, in which weapon balance is broken.

I don't think IW will make this for the wii tbh. Even though treyarch's attempt was a success, it will probably be a cheap port made from some outisde developers like they did for the DS version of #4.

 

 

 

- Underwater combat. Would be sick.

 

Maps based purely underwater would be pants, maybe adding lakes or rivers and actually be able to swin will be a good idea?

 

 

 

- Customization of knives and pistols. Silencers, longer blades, etc.

 

I agree, Red tiger deagle anyone?

 

 

 

- More destructible terrain. I'm not talking bullet holes in walls, I'm talking roof collapses when artillery hits it. Maybe the roofs would "re-spawn" a few minutes after the artillery call?

 

Didn't battlefield bad company do something like this? how did that turn out?

 

 

 

- 3 kills = Recon, 5 kills = Artillery, 7 kills = ?, 10 kills = Helicopter. You control the weapon on the helicopter and it automatically heads toward enemies to give you shots at them. 7 kills could be dogs, reinforcements (extra CPU comes for 1 minute, fights alongside you).

 

Disagree. It would be way too overpowered. I think that it should be 3 kills = UAV, 5 kills = Airstrike, 7 kills = Helicopter, 10 kills = Reset, 13 kills = UAV, etc etc. Maybe more perks for what you can call in at different milestones?

Bad Company had destructible terrain to a point, it worked well for the most part, until a team mate destroys your cover and leaves you completely out in the open.

Yea, Id have to agree with him.. I like the ideas of the collapsable buildings and things like that, but if a friend blows up your building and your just standing there like "WTF Mate?" what are you gonna do?

I think it could be more of a limited destructible terrain. For instance, you have weakened walls in place that be be knocked down if hit enough times with explosives, etc. One more thing, I want the helicopter to be dumbed down a bit, so that it can't get you if your gun is just barely seen by it.
