Really disappointing makes me feel like you can do what you want in runescape and get away with it, no annoucements about anybody being banned?? this makes no sense maybe i should start abusing bugs because its obvious runescape doesnt care.

runescape doesn't care? i didn't know a piece of technology could be programed to care. Jagex might care but runescape itself is incapable.

Care to explain the bug? Sorry I've been behind in all this.

EDIT: Nvm... read other topic. That is actually hillarious.

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

Possibly because there would be too many mistakeable bannings?

It's 1 button on a keyboard... unless you have to do alt codes. Still though why should we be punished for a fault jagex had in THEIR code?

You have to remember Jagex records how you got exp and such, but they do not record your conversations unless reported. So it would be basically impossible for them to ban.

When i say runescape i mean Jagex the people behind the game that dont care. I love how i get crashed and jagex doesnt care and they dont even signal a warning. It took them like a day to figure out what was going on.

I beg to differ - it's more than likely that bannings have already occurred, you just can't see them yet.

...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.

Or maybe never. But tbh, I dunno if Jagex would announce any mass bannings. :-#

I'm pretty sure they log everything that is sent from the client. Including chatlogs, mouseclicks and IP logs.

There might be an obscure post hidden somewhere on the RSoF when it happens...

just because it's not publicized doesn't mean it's not happening.

you got thread with 20 pages about it, "the crash code"

shorter version - with new updates alt code that produced one letter could be exploited and when you wrote it everyone who could "hear" it in chat box were automatically logged off runescape. only way you could stop people from logging you off was to change your public/private chat off. if you used it when people were in combat it would not instantly logg you off but rather let you finish combat or whatever, so it allowed people to exploit that bug in pvp/monster hunting to kill someone.

Yeah well I hope so this is pretty dumb on there part tbh. Why does Jagex have to slip and fall every update? Recently they are having bugged updates every week.

WOW abusers.. thats great i guess you PVP with it also -.- -.- thats so not fair and btw why would u do that on your main??

Jagex doesn't have to announce each banning. The bans happened, but I'd imagine many people easily got away with this without being reported or detected. It is very hard to tell with 100% ccertainty WHO actually said the alt code. If there are people with pub off you have multiple possible suspects. Turn pub chat back on to tell who did it and your game crashes.

Get back here so I can rub your butt.

What does it even matter if noone is being banned? What if you were in their shoes? What do you expect them to do? Go through millions of lines of text on hundreds of thousands of accounts? And even if they did, some, if not alot of them, could have just been mistakes! And a day? It took them like 5 hours. Before ranting and whining about something, know the facts on the topic your whining about.

Never forget. ~creeper face w/single tear~

DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!

Why would they advertise that there was a crash in the system so that more people in the future would try and find these and exploit them

Who said they had to announce people being banned?

They don't make one every 100 macroers. Maybe every thousand, but there were only a few of those.

Jagex doesn't care? Are you dumb? They do everything in their power to stop things like this. I have a hard time believing anybody is ignorant enough to think that Jagex simply doesn't care about bug abuse. Jesus Christ.

just look at the last month they have had to major glitchs in there updates this is getting ridiculous im scared to see the next update u may be able to get infinite money along with sailing boats with riding donkeys. Who knows jagex cant make a legit update without a 3rd hand growing out. maybe if they cared they would do some more beta testing before releaseing there monsters to the public.
