i_love_burritos
You know, a funny thought just occured. [Well has been occuring for a long time, but just recently decided to post it] I really don't have anything in life worth living for, except my brother and family, essentially the sum of my existence is living another day, and metaphorically playing RuneScape. That's all I really need actually, food, water, shelter and games. Nothing else.

chazzycaz
Sometimes that happens to me when I think about death... Its a frame of mind that is rare to get into, but sometimes I think of death - blackness and emptiness, even though there would be no emptiness as there would be no ME. That is quite shocking... :ohnoes: Rarely happens though, but when it does its quite a sinister thought, the idea of blackness forever and forever. The idea that after I die, there would be no New Game, and that would be it. Not enough to make me resort to God though, like other people in denial : Just kidding ladies, you know I love you =DGuide to Making Money with NPC Trading

Therefore, your denial of Him existing would be denial. You should really learn how to make better jide snabs. You just make yourself look stupid with your little passive-aggressive jabs. Anyways. I felt good today. Thinking about summer and all the fun. I think because I smelled some water. Ah, nostalgia for the perfect summer I've never had. Damn, that blows. That reminds me of the guys like 1 year old baby dialed 911 and the police came to his house because of no talking call. They found like 24 weed plants. :wall: I think he went to jail or something. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! lobsta
Hey guys, haven't posted here for a while, but I'd like to discuss something with you all. Has there ever been a time in your life where reality just slapped you in the face? Like, you're living your life and then all of the sudden something huge and unexpected comes you way, be it something that happened to someone you know or even yourself, or an event in your life that just made you think "Wow, is this happening..." or "This can't be happening..." and all of the sudden, BAM! you realize that it's actually happening. If you don't understand, I can try to explain it in better detail. Feel free to discuss, just something that popped into my mind. If you want to know my situation, you can ask me and I'll tell you. Definitely had that recently. My Dad committed suicide this December by hanging himself in the garage, off my punch bag as well! Now I have to get a new one :( I'll never forget the phone call my mum made to me (as i am at uni). It was very much out of the blue, we had know idea anything was wrong with him. He seemed happy enough, had a lot going for him etc. Then going to the funeral of your father and seeing the coffin...damn lol So I can definitely relate to reality hitting you in the face lol. Zygimantas
Wouldn't it just be easier not existing, no conciousness, no nothing. I often wonder it would be like to have no worries, be lifeless, in fact I wouldn't really care if I died suddenly right now. I'm not saying that I want to commit suicide, in fact I think thats a horrible idea. I'm just saying it doesn't really matter to me. My thoughts exactly ;) 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010

I've had that exact thought for years now, I didn't know anyone else thought that way. The thought of it keeps coming back to me and makes me think "Wow, life is pointless, why do we even live?" It's a pretty depressing idea, my friend got depressed about this for like 2 days after I told her about it. The fact that life is pointless means that nothing really matters and that makes me scream of joy. It just makes me take more risks and have more fun then I usually would. Who cares if I get in trouble? Nothing matters, so why don't I just enjoy life as much as I can. 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010
IGoddessI
If reality could slap me in the face, my face would be pretty swollen  Going from living off marked down 50 cent bread to living in a 4 bedroom house and being able to go away to places all over the world such as Fiji in August. Studying psychology, only to never land a career in it anyway. Nearly losing my brother to relapsing polychrondritis. Nearly losing my mother 4 different times, gallstones, pancreas difficulties, missed gallstones and a mini stroke. Having to go to every single one of my best friend's funerals. I'm cursed! Every best friend I have, dies. Learning that you don't need to go to university to earn a lot of money. Being told your partner can't have children, only to give birth anyway. Add another million and one things but they're the most recent one's. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. i_love_burritos
Wow, I had no idea people felt the same way. For me its more about emotional laziness, apathy and more of the physical inabilty to actually feel much or in most cases anything at all. I guess this just may be a temporary phase :?:

Zierro
What if there was no such thing as reality, we're just reflections of what "could be" instead of "what is"? Maybe we are just imaging the world - and the world is simultaneously imaging us. There was a film I watched called something like "Through the Rabbit Hole" and it really makes you wonder. It's along the same principles Descartes talks about. I believe one part in it says that you control how you look.
Lenticular_J
Pretty sure that movie you're thinking of is "What the Bleep do We Know?!" My brother's really into those sorts of things. I think that film is interesting, and more or less shows my views on the universe. Of course a good deal off, but generally, the idea that the universe is abstract and driven by thought - that's an attractive concept I've held for quite some time. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

It's along the same principles Descartes talks about. I believe one part in it says that you control how you look. It's called "what the bleep do we know - down the rabbit hole" there is a sequel to it and if you enjoy those principles you may also like to read about eckhart tolle, wayne dyer, allan watts, "the secret", the quantum doctor, Q is for quantum physics. I've held this concept since I was about 10 years old (before I read any books - I was excited as I thought it was my idea :wall:) - vibrational frequencies that we send out etc it just makes sense to me. Want to know how I attract money? I put a $100.00 note in my pocket, walk around the mall and imagine what I can buy with that $100.00 and create the feeling of having several thousand dollars ;) and then for some reason, I always find myself in circumstances where I'm constantly receiving offers or ideas for making money. if you want a good book, PM me. Lateralus
What The Bleep Do We Know is widely considered to be pseudoscientific trash by the academic community. While the film is interesting (I like the way they presented the double slit experiment), it's just another attempt to blur the lines between quantum mechanics and spirituality. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
