Riku3220
Can we just go ahead and turn this into a "Favorite controller" thread? Making another Wii thread is just another flame war... My top three favorite controllers are: 1. 360 Wireless controller - This controller fits into your hand easily and your thumbs can reach from the anolong sticks to the button with the greatest of ease. 2. GC Wireless Controller - This controller also fit into your hands perfectly the only thing I didn't like about it was the extremely small C stick... 3. PS1 controller - The first controller made for comfort and practicality. This is the first controller that implemented curves but not with too many buttons. stevepole
accesories aren't controllers and as far as I can remember there are only three remotes? the Wiimote or whatever, the classic, and the gamecube controller.
RayOxide
^waste of space post. Its obvious the thing means accessories, so dont be a smartypants and have to point out the obvious. Im kinda sure people knew that.. Anyway, I dont really care for accessories, other than the nunchuk. ;p I dont need a siggy no moar.

Dracion1
Mouse and Keyboard are the best controllers by far : "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

Lies! That dpad is hard and awkward to use. I've had bad experiances playing street fighter with it >_> But yeah, ps1/ps2 were really comfortable. Are we bringing old school systems into this? Otherwise I'd just go with dracion1 with the mouse and the keyboard :P ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢

The MadCatz SF4 controller is actually a lot like it as well (same kind of dpad almost).

aquariusman
Ignoring the horrible linked post (First of all, it's just a link to an article. Second, the article sucks. Third, the article isn't even interesting. Fourth, the article doesn't generate any discussion), I'd say that if the PS3 controller was shaped like the Xbox 360 controller, I'd love it. It's like as anything, and extremely sensitive (Which is good once you get used to it). My only complaint really is that I'm so used to the shape of an Xbox controller (Or more the position of the left thumbstick) That I really find a PS3 controller uncomfortable in that regard. N64 controller is the best of all time. No joke. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. PoorLepRecon
N64 controller is the best of all time. No joke. You're kidding right? That thing is a beast. I myself prefer the old SNES controller. Just feels right, with not too many buttons. Forum Updates & Suggestions <------ Let your voice be heard!Forum Games <------- Coolest place on Tip.ItTip.It Forum Rules <------- Read them! aquariusman
N64 controller is the best of all time. No joke. You're kidding right? I see beauty right there, what do you see? I actually don't get the hate on the N64 controller. Yeah, it was stupid to have the d-pad completely isolated, but how many games even used it? It was weird shaped, but it was comfortable. Your hand isn't in a weird position, and it's light. I couldn't ask for more. It worked for the console, and I quite frankly have never found a single thing wrong with it. Nadril
The one thing I hated about the N64 controller was trying to explain to your parents how to hold the goddamned thing. I have to say too I have a soft spot for the dreamcast controller, even if it was a little bulky. Kiriyama
The only problem was when you needed to use the d-pad with the N64 pad. Anyway, the N64 controller felt perfect, could be that it was probably the first controller I remember holding, but it was similar to the PS1 controller (and by extension PS2 and PS3), whilst being just about as big as a Xbox controller, it didn't feel bulky because it wasn't thick. So yeah the 64 controller gets the win for me. Then comes any of the playstation controllers, Dualshock, Sixaxis and then the original one (only complaint I have about that one is that it feels small) Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

ThurinEthir
I'm still not quite sure how to hold the N64 controller. I don't remember how I did when I was a kid. But yes, keyboard (and mouse, if needed) is best. : Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu. sarg1010
Good ol' Duke... But yea... the new 360 controller is really good if ya ask me. The PS2 controller seems a little small but its still good. I've only ever used the Dreamcast controller once, and it seemed pretty good  Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. Faux
But yeah, ps1/ps2 were really comfortable. if you hav tiny hands... the wavebird for the Gamecube was really nice. the 360 controller would be perfect if it had a better dpad but I rarely need it. I honestly think the "dildo" PS3 controller would've been better than the DualShock 3 :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Nadril
I can never stand using a Dualshock controller. I realize it might just be the fact that I never play playstation, but having both analog sticks right next to each other just sucks.

Best controller ever imo. Well laid out and a decent size.. most controllers feel too small to me. I remember the first time i used the Dreamcast controller and the trigger buttons felt amazing, though i guess they're similar to the 360's now. I'll hall-of-shame the Atari Jaguars controller while i'm here: Such a clumsy uncomfortable design, especially considering the competitions controllers at the time; the sega megadrive/genesis and the SNES controller which is still one of my favourites. RayOxide
Gamecube controller has to be one of the best thought controllers. Flame me as much as you like but I believe that it was a very good controller. Perfect spacing for everything, the D Pad was a bit fail though, thats about it. XBOX controllers FAIL. They're huge, and bulky. The one reason I cant use xboxes. I dont need a siggy no moar.
