I would too like to make a list, i have a personal collection of over 300 CDs so i'm sure i could pick my top 40 or something to see what people think.

Why you say mean things like that.

I understand that you have to be PM'd by the maker of the previous list to create yours, but I also see that there's a list of volunteers on the 3rd page. That would be great if I could be put on that list, I have some albums to share. :thumbup:

If people start making their own without being PM'd, it's just going to spam up the forums and no one's list will get the appreciation it deserves. It was supposed to be a week from the last list so the author had some time to make a solid list and write a decent write up on each album. Now that we have 4 or so lists on the front page, attention is split between them instead of the once per week that it was designed to be. I realize there was about a month break there, but seriously people, have some freaking patience.

You missed the entire point of the concept. It was to give each user their week to have all to themselves so that they can explain to everyone why these were their favourite albums.

 

 

 

If everyone were to post them all at once (like happened here in the past two days) it is pointless to have separate threads. The amount of discussion doesn't call for them, it would be better in one thread.

The lack of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on these album threads - I find it... disturbing.

 

 

 

Agreed, no Sgt. Pepper's, no Revolver, no Abby Road, no White Album, no Help!, very little Beatles in general. (if any, haven't seen all of them.)

Beatles albums are perhaps too obvious choices for the lists? I don't know.

I did include one Beatles compilation, I'd find it hard to put a single album because they're all pretty incredible but I was trying to put one album per artist. I suppose if I were to do it again I might include Sgt. Pepper's or Revolver, but they hardly need their ego's swelling any more and I was trying to put albums that weren't total clichés (not that there's anything wrong with total clichés as albums).
