What impact does BH have on some items?

What is effect is BH having on BGS's currently?

Or any bandos item for that matter..

My chest like crashed today, lost 1.6m and counting just in today :wall:

I don't know which mod did this. I don't know why they did it. If they're looking for money, I can tell them I don't have any as I'm a student. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over 4 years of RuneScape. Skills that I have worked hard for and people like them can't take them away. If they give me my particles back now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for them, I will not pursue them. But if they don't, I will look for them, I will find them, and they won't like what'll happen

it seems that the daggonath kings and mitral dragons will loose thier entire purpose in the game

Mithril Dragons lost their purpose the day PvP worlds were released, DFH was 50M+ before and now is ~12M.

Considering how rare they are from mirth dragons in the first place it was a very stupid thing for Jagex to put them as PvP drops and I honestly have no reason why they did it as it makes no sense, it's not as if people were pking with them.

Hmm, I always thought the purpose of killing these npcs was for fun.

I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.

Fun is all well and good, but it's nice to have a reward of some kind too.

And things like Mith dragons aren't fun, they're repetitive and hard to kill (well, not hard, but killing only 15 a trip (more with unicorn) isn't exactly a lot), the only thing they had going for them was the chance of a DFH.

The new BH worlds and the old PVP drop system has caused numerous items to crash since they came in. furies, DFS's, D Hallies and Zerker necklaces ae some more hard hit items. There things that werent often brought into the game from shops/drops, which kept their price fairly high. But the PVP systems bring so many more into the economy and they just go straight into the g.e totally saturating the market. As has been said before, consumables and raw materials imo would be much better as at least they end up being used up.

I disagree. Mithril dragons are one of my favorite activities in the game, and as long as you're smart about it, you won't lose money. With the common rune battleaxes from them, you're almost sure to profit from these beasts. 15 kills per trip is to many, btw. Kill only enough that you fill up your inventory, and then leave.

Rewards equal fun. Therefore, less rewards = less fun. It's as simple as that.

Maybe for you, but most 'scapers definition of fun is not equivalent to rewarding. Castle wars, the most popular minigame, has no rewards at all worth getting, unless you are trying for them for some personal reason, and yet every day thousands of people flock to this game across all the worlds and play it.

OT:I really don't have much to say here. My best guess would be merchers. Either way, everything will rebound at some point. Only an idiot will sell a dragon-fire shield at 13m, and only an idiot wouldn't try to buy a dragon-fire shield at 13m if they have the spare cash and can use it. The same goes for every other item.

My skin is finally getting soft
I'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

You know, if you really care about prices, then why did you pay the money for your items in the first place? I personally have around 100m of these items that I use all the time for combat, and I don't mind the drop at all. I paid 100m for the items themselves, and don't plan on selling them...so why worry dropping prices?

Exactly my thoughts, personally I couldnt give a rip that my fury and bcp are loosing value (Bought by bcp at 12mil when wgs came out, selling my d chain was my best investment ever  ). Though because of the dropping prices I am looking forward to soon being able to afford tassets <3: (6mil and counting)

I've killed over 4k of them, the fun of them left a long time ago. The only thing that kept me back for more was the chance of a DFH, that's pretty much pointless to do now as they're worth so little.

Castle Wars is a competitive minigame, that's different. Hunting monsters like mithril dragons are quite often done for their rewards. They make up a huge part of the decision on fighting a particular monster. Lessening the rewards will mean that more people will refrain from killing mithril dragons. Whether YOU think it's a reason to stop killing mithril dragons or not, is up to you. But it's quite obvious that an activity will be less popular if the rewards are cut down.

Wow I'm starting to hate this update.

I just found out this DFS that's rotting in my bank has just fallen 4M. :(

And don't forget the ripple effects -- if dfs is crashing, so is visage. There are a lot of visage hunters out there. Take them out of the picture, and the only people killing drags will be bone harvesters, which means nobody will kill blacks or metals.

Pking drops seem simple enough to me -- the value of drops (overall) should roughly equal the value of items lost. It sounds like Jagex has skewed it to make it overly profitable. On the other hand, maybe they're just trying to draw people in and they'll nerf the drops later? This has been done with other new content.

Every single Fist of Guthix item dropped since PvP worlds were released, rune gaunts are 30k now, used to be 90k. Druidic top is 5k, in FoG you buy it for 300 tokens. People only play FoG now for free magic xp, not even for fun because there is no fun in fighting people that constantly hit 0's for more xp.

I don't know how the situation is in p2p, but i guess magic trainers are also dominating there.

I don't see why they can't just drop x value's worth of raw materials or consumables instead of rare items. Whats wrong with 1m's worth of coal instead of a whip, they will both sell for 1m, but the coal will have more positive effects than another whip coming in. It would keep rare items high priced as they should be, and would put raw materials and consumables back down in prices, which could even make secondary skills profitable once again if enough people pk'd.

I never would have played FoG to get these rewards anyway -- it already was more time efficient just to buy the items. I do, however, play FoG to recharge items, and I assume some of that still goes on. Plus, it is a fun little game, if you actually play it. Most "players" just stand on the fist and hack. I have to admit that I do that, too, when I'm in a hurry. But when I'm killing time, I sometimes actually play the game, and it can be fun.

Don't stress too much. The reason prices are crashing on items like Bandos is because people who wish to go PVP replace their items they either don't want to risk, or aren't much use in PVP with more suitable items. Because they are impatient, they'll generally sell them for minimum. Not too many people use things like BGS, tassets, furies etc in PVP. That's why the necessary supplies and KO items raised.

The prices will rebound when people say, "oh great, BGS is down 6 mill, I'll buy now!" They put in their bids, and when they don't get them straight away, they will raise their bids, and drive the price up further. That, and they'll get over PVP.

With items that raised, crashed then raised.. Well, people have hoarded, then tried to "dump". But, the same thing happens, people get impatient, drop everything to minimum price so it will sell quickly.
