Run-ins with the law

Featured Replies

I was inspired to make this because I had one last Saturday :wall: .

I was caught for littering. :wall: Awaiting my punishment, which is either a heavy fine (I think it's $500) or some corrective work thing. :wall:

Other than that, I'm a good boy ::' .

So do you guys have had any trouble with the law before? I know there was that guy caught for speeding with sandwiches in his shoes...

Well, I have had the cops called on me at least 20 times. For fights with my Father, loud music, discriminating against my neighbors, and throwing [cabbage] in my neighbors yard. Also, I got 6 months probation for spray painting a bus. And most recently I got 6 months of probation for showing my less then impressive penis to a random person. Oh, I am also 16, and have not attended school for 2 years.

Time to show off how badass we are!

None that I can recall...

I fought the law and the law won?

I haven't got arrested... yet. It probably will happen at some point in my life but who knows.

Just speeding tickets although I did try shop lifting once when I was a teenager and got caught. The shop owner said she would count to 20 and if it wasn't put back in the right place she'd report me so I got away with it, never did it again. Oh wait - I was driven home by the police after my ex made a false claim that I refused to remove myself from his property (I was actually the person paying the rent but I wanted to get out of there anyway but didn't have my license so the cops gave me a lift to my aunties house ).

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

Crashing my car into a tree while drink driving. And then stupidly calling the cops. Whoops... (car written off and $400 fine + 2 months loss of license.)

Also getting on the drink and being arrested for public nuisance outside a club for pissing near an atm. (got off with nothing, not even a bond which was pretty sweet.)

Both times the cops were pretty fair and treated me alright even though I was in the wrong, so I don't really mind them.

Nothing, I think. Cops have probably been suspicious of us, and maybe even chased us, because we like to dress in black and run around at night past the curfew or whatever it is. It's pretty fun.

We run-in with people worse than cops.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

How bout you learn the law.

In England there are a lot of loopholes, gudfun. Dunno how it all works in Ameri[bleep]land though.

Tough times don't last. Tough people do.

I am very sneaky and have avoided cops for the most part, cop went off at my friend because I was caught climbing a wall and walking along it, aparently it isn't legal to do that. Luckily the cop just shouted then drove off.

Got all the usual minors, urinating in public, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, spitting, unpaid speeding fines etc. Also have indecent exposure (funny story actually, I'll go into that down the bottom), assault, contempt of court, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and something to do with fare evasion? I'm not sure, hopefully another Aussie can explain the way Connex works.

RE Indecent exposure:

So, this was back when I was 16. Woke up at about 3pm on a Thursday afternoon. Naturally, I'd been out on the grog the night before. So I wander downstairs, jump in the shower, etc etc. At about 3:30 I realize it was bin night. So I take my brunch stuff out into the backyard to put it in the bins, in my workout shorts. I start dragging the bins up the yard, and I look up ahead, and there's a face poking over my fence belonging to one of those Jehovah's Witness's guys that wander the streets being pains in your [wagon]. He jumps down and leaves, so I just put my bins at the gate, go inside, grab my bag, head off to the gym..

I get home around 5:30, and there is a business card from a Sergeant from the local police station. So, I call him up, and he asks me to come to the station for an interview. Sure enough, I head down there, trying to stay in his good books. Anyway, I get there, ask to speak to him and we go into an interview room. He tells me I'm being charged with indecent exposure. I tell him he is dreaming. This JW guy has let himself in the front gate, rung the doorbell, when I haven't answered, he's climbed the fence because he heard me moving the bins. When he saw me in my gym shorts, he was shocked and disgusted.

Now, apparently, wearing gym shorts on your own property while surrounded by 8 foot high fencing is illegal, because it is still in view of the public. Mind you, the public has to trespass/break and enter to see you. I bring this up with the Sergeant, and he's like, "nope, sorry mate, doesn't matter, you've been reported, we have to charge you with it"

Court case was scheduled a few weeks later. My lawyer attended the first one, tried to get the case thrown out, but the magistrate allowed it. Being the bloke I am, just to spite the magistrate, I turned up in the same pair of work out shorts, nothing else. I was charged with contempt, ended up being fined $750 and nearly lost my working with children permit!

Pretty funny story there.

Why didn't you just say you wanted to have him charged for Tresspassing/breaking and entering? Teach that [puncture] a lesson. Though you have some balls turning up in the shorts.

For me, well I've never been formally charged, its just happened a couple times while fighting and stuff, I had a short temper.

Got taken home by the cops the first time I ever got wasted, we had a fire in my friends backyard (in the middle of the city, which isn't allowed). Never got caught for anything else though

My cousin a cop, so nope.

Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob.

My cousin a cop, so nope.

Your cousin shouldn't be bailing you out of trouble.

Damn bent cops.

Tried. I had a bad rep with the local police back then because of the friends I chose, they weren't exactly cooperative. But, what can you do, you report them, they bash you more.

Wow, this thread is filled with junk already... (Not at the above poster :P )

Think what you will dsavi, I have nothing to prove to people over the internet. Although if you wish, I'd be more than happy to regale you with numerous stories from my childhood, which as all things E & i, should be taken with a grain of salt.

Indeed. I used to play footy with a few "bent" cops. Whenever they'd cop a decent whack or get shut down by an opponent, said opponent would find themselves beaten or with a canary before the week was out.

If you have been lying to cops constants and such, then they have reason to not believe you.

However, they should be unable to judge you by your friends. Sounds like a pretty [bleep]ing bent cop to me.

I only got in trouble twice. My cousin called the cops on me because I locked my aunt outside of my house while she was babysitting us since she was pissing me off. A cop came to my house and just told me to behave. The second time was about a year ago when I smoked in the woods at school. This time I got community service. So yeah, when I compare my record to pretty much everyone else I know I'm a good boy. O:)

Meant say that my cousin a cop. and Nope.

Currently waiting on to see if I'm getting charged with assault or just getting an ASBO, lovely thing to wait for.

Other than that, nothing more than usual stuff for people <18, underage drinking, drinking in public, loitering, being searched when they stop us etc. Usually means nothing more than them taking the drink and telling us to piss off. Have a warning for wasting police time though :|
