June 25, 200917 yr I haven't seen or read Twilight. It just doesn't appeal to me, unlike Harry Potter, it doesn't really attract an audience beyond the average tween girl.
June 25, 200917 yr Haven't read or seen Twilight so I base my answer on the storylines No-brainer, HP wins hands down. I feel like murdering Meyers for the high expectations people will have from now on....damn Edward Also, you can't really compare them due to the fact that the only commonality is that they're both fiction Note: I do realize I quoted myself. Sorry if I just crushed a great barb "Probably the worst thing I do is take bubble baths. But manly ones." No matter what the avatar looks like, I'm male

June 25, 200917 yr Edward The vampire of Bella's affection, he is at least a hundred years old and is a vegetarian vampire and a good guy since he abstains from eating humans, but pet owners watch out! He could be eating your cat as you are reading this! There is no moment where he isn't in complete control of Bella. When it comes to her, he is unyielding and possessive and not hesitant to have a bite of anyone else who considers doing her, including Jacob Black. What fans of Twilight seemingly fail to realize is that such qualities (overbearing possessiveness, watching Bella while she sleeps and so on) are more often found in sex offenders than the perfect man. Such things can apparently be ignored/forgiven when love is supposedly involved. Edward can also read people's minds, a skill he frequently uses to cheat on game shows. However, he can't read Bella's mind, because she is special and unique like a pretty snowflake. However, it is revealed in Breaking Dawn that Edward can't read Bella's mind because, in all actuality, she has no brain waves and/or thoughts. Yeah, she's that kind of special. Copypasta from ed. Twilight is a 40 year old's unfulfilled wet dream, and for some reason, people just ate that [cabbage] up.

June 25, 200917 yr I haven't read or seen the movies of Twilight but my sister have read/is reading Twilight book series. Twilight the movie looks more like a movie for teenage girls which usually does not appeal to me. The books and movie would be categorised under Romance from what I have heard/read and teenage romance movies/books are a nu-uh for me, they remind me of of Disneys mindless movies/characters like "High school musical" or Miley Cyrus. I do know that Twilight is more than a teenage romantic movie but still it has that bit that I just can't stand. I have read all the HP books, seen all the released movies and I have to say I loved them all.
June 25, 200917 yr Author I've heard several times I shouldn't compare them, but Meyer is going for something that could compare to Twilight. She thinks by putting some action and romance she can win over a large crowd, and some fall for it. Its sad.
June 25, 200917 yr My personal opinion; Twilight is one of the most annoying stories that I have ever read. The characters (most of them) are so incredibly annoying, especially Bella. It is written quite poorly too (but Meyer admits this), it seems the books should be for kids, but is aimed at teen+. The storyline makes little sense, and just annoys me when reading it. Harry Potter - J K Rowling has done a perfect and job and created a masterpiece that I am sure will be read and re-read for many, many years to come.

Uhhh... :anxious: Well it wasn't perfect entirely, but she has done a perfect job in creating an entire universe that people of all ages can relate to and become engaged with. I'm not a huge fan (not even really a fan at all, anymore), but one of the amazing things about Harry Potter is that it appeals to people of all ages and of both genders. Opposed to Twilight, which is directed towards teenage girls, mainly. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
June 27, 200917 yr Me and my girlfriend got into the topic of Harry Potter and she of course supports Twilight, while I believe Harry Potter is the better book series/movie series. I'd like to hear others opinions on what they think and... Harry Potter Pro's: Very Creative Written well Appeals to Many ages Harry Potter Con's: Epilogue of HP and the Deathly Hallows quite cliche Can't think of anymore, anyone feel free to give me some more Twilight's Pro's and Cons (anyone wish to fill this out?) Now which looks cooler? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng8XyRb1DT8New Moon (2009) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96QRVfto7OM Both suck in my opinion, but thats just me, but I'm going to say harry potter because there is alot better story behind it and the effects are better, more entertaining.
June 29, 200917 yr HP>twilight. twilight is just the new emo-teenage-vampire story of the moment. Hp is a genre of its own. person who won the most awards: GeneraldesorRETIRED
June 29, 200917 yr HP: Read books about 20 times, and I still enjoy reading them. Twilight:Had to stop reading after getting a huge dose of massive boredom and realizing that I just couldn't withstand such a poor story. I don't keep an memories from this. HP=Classic novels, a HUGE revolution in Fantasy. Twilight=some assembly of clichés for preteen girls.
