Unmuting YouTube video's

Technically, YouTube could still face a Lawsuit even if the disclaimer is there.

Say a music distributer didnt want any music they have rights on leaking to the internet (Because there are some programs that take YouTube sounds, turn them into standard mp3s and shove it on limewire) Anyway, this music distributer can actually force YouTube to remove the video, not just mute it, as it breaches all sorts of laws. The only way around it I think is if the video you posted is hosted on an American Server, where it is protected by the constitution somewhat.

Lol, I actualy have one of those programs.

Yup, this has been going around youtube for a few months now. Would be very helpful to sticky this though.

I need to do this actually.

Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x.

PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues

9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system

Brawler guide is being finished!

Google is an American company \'

Makes no difference, just because Google is American doesn't mean it has American Servers. Chances are it does, but it could equally have some in China or Japan or as Jard_Y_Dooku points out, Russia, as they are all chaper hosts.

Umm... hardly. The Americans are very concerned with copyright, being capitalist and all. It would actually be 'safer' in Russia or somewhere else... did you know you can easily find Microsoft Office 2007 brand new in Russia for around 3 US dollars?

Thats the ploy and what companies fight against. But trust me, as soon as it enters America, it is protected by the 2nd (i think) amendment and so counts as free speech. There are certain cases where this doesn't count, such as leaking of national secrets which could pose a threat to the public and for secret things like weapon shipments, design and development, but a sound track to a music video hardly comes near this.

On a brighter side, you made it into my sig.

It's the First Amendment.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.

Awesome Tip! Way to get back at them for muting our videos, even when users don't make profits.

Only if you're a Youtube Partner should you not use music that is copyrighted (unless they ask for permission), since they make money off the views + comments posted on it.

SouljaBoy actually told in a video how much he makes. I believe it was 0.02 per view and 0.15 per comment posted.

This doesn't only unmute your videos, but if you had uploaded a music video ( a band's music video) and it had been removed due to rules violation, you can get it back almost automatically.

Partners make money from comments?

No wonder they do those [cabbage]ty "question of the days". I always thought it was so they can be "#1 Top Discussed-Today" but not for financial reasons...

Ugh.

Rofl I don't think they do. Then again partners are very mysterious about their earnings. All I've ever heard is that it's 'not much'.

JumbaFund (KevJumba's charity channel) said he made $1,200 dollars in a month for charity and he only made a few videos. They do earn a lot. Whatthebuckshow said he makes 100K+ a year on YouTube. Many partners have quit/retire from their jobs so it's got to be good revenue.

This is getting a bit off-topic, but here it is:

[hide=SouljaBoy being dumb, yet letting out how much he makes(Some Bad Words)][yt]3EgmXXjNcWk[/yt][/hide]

From this video alone, he has made $24,095.96 dollars as it has 1,204,798 views, with 0.02 cents per view. And, $5,936.25 for the 39,575 comments.

His most popular video "Crank Dat" has 52,682,285 views and thus has made $1,053,645.70.

Just to put things in prospective.

Wow, Fred's videos get millions of views on the first few days. He must be richer than holy hell.

I actually liked SouljaBoy telling us how much, he made fun of his haters by telling them that they make him money.

Made me .

Edit: Watched it all the way through. Lulz, CHA-CHING!

I saw sxephil from Youtube today on his mini-meet here in Vegas for his roadtrip across America (and Canadialand) and he said partners do not make that much money. $0.15 a comment is a lot more than actual. Him and his girlfriend also said SouljaBoy was a douchebag at YouTube Live, saying that the first thing Soulja mentioned to both of them was his watch being $80,000.
