May 25, 200917 yr Well I haven't noticed a topic like here yet, so I'll post it. Have you ever uploaded a video then had it muted? Unmuting it is easy :P Go to your vid that is muted. Click Resolve Copyright, Click I Want To Learn More About The Dispute Process, Scroll down and click on Take Me To The Dispute Form, Click reason number two, then copy and paste this: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. May 28, 200917 yr It might not work. Youtube are more concerned about getting sued than your rights. I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator].
May 28, 200917 yr Those rights do help prevent lawsuits. "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."Abraham Lincoln
May 28, 200917 yr Technically, YouTube could still face a Lawsuit even if the disclaimer is there. Say a music distributer didnt want any music they have rights on leaking to the internet (Because there are some programs that take YouTube sounds, turn them into standard mp3s and shove it on limewire) Anyway, this music distributer can actually force YouTube to remove the video, not just mute it, as it breaches all sorts of laws. The only way around it I think is if the video you posted is hosted on an American Server, where it is protected by the constitution somewhat.
May 28, 200917 yr Awesome. Now all I need is something worth recording. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape

The Americans are very concerned with copyright, being capitalist and all. It would actually be 'safer' in Russia or somewhere else... did you know you can easily find Microsoft Office 2007 brand new in Russia for around 3 US dollars? Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
