I think we'll be infiltrating the sub, would be cool if we could look outside and see some giant Sea Slug swimming around, or even Mother Mallum. Seeing the long lost underwater city would be awesome too.

Catching a glimpse of Atlantis referred to by Guthix in one of the God Letters would certainly be neat, but I'd actually rather not go inside at the moment; I'm reasonably sure Guthix said that its inhabitants are actively attempting to restore contact with the surface and it could be much cooler if the Atlanteans (or whatever you want to call them) simply arrived unannounced.

Didn't that one postbag message mention the penguins having Red Raktuber? I loved that movie. Except it was horrible.

Still, it's very interesting, Pe could be the name of some sea monster as well (doubtful). But I guess the "..." could mean it was cut off. And of course, Zanik's description sounds very much like a periscope :P

I swear if anyone posts anything about the song "Yellow submarine" I'll do something drastic.

But I haven't told you the most exciting thing! I saw a sea monster! We were on the way back from Entrana, going around Mudskipper Point. The sky was dark and a bit of a storm was blowing up. All the monks on the ship were getting scared and praying to Saradomin. The captain monk was shouting for them to do something to the sails (I still don't understand nautical jargon), then suddenly there was a sort of CRUNCH as the ship hit something! The monks were too busy to see anything, but they wouldn't let me help so all I could do was watch. I saw something big and dark moving under the water beside our ship. Then the lightning flashed and I saw this thing sticking up out of the water, like an eye on the end of a stalk. It looked around for a moment and I'm sure it looked straight at me, then it went back down into the water and the monster went away.

i need to get renew my membership now!!! must do cold war 2 once it comes out!!! *PENGUIN RUSH!!*

I'd be willing to bet that's the next big quest they come out with, Cold War 2 that is. They used Postbag to hint at it and set up other submarines for more speculation. I'm excited no matter what it is, cause I know it's not sailing. :shame:

I don't expect Jagex to keep teasing us for months about a particular quest. I expect the quest to be out very soon. Maybe tomorrow. But at least in a month time.

My guess is it will be out this week. Considering the chaos elemental called it "red raktuber"

Just noticed a calendar entry for our translation team; 19/05/09 14:00 to 15:00 - Jam session with Ping and Pong! RSDev

This leads me to believe that the quest is complete and is simply in the hands of the translation team so that the quest can be released in all languages simultaneously.

 

 

 

RS - Zoo staff having a holiday, that's not going to end well...

Larry works at the zoo. This looks like a good hint that its coming soon.

 

 

 

Yesterday they tweeted about something strange at the docks. I would guess that the quest will come out at some point today. Expect a Jagex tweet later this morning with a cryptic clue.
