CaJ
Television has entertained a great number of people since the technology was first put into use in the 1940s and not into full gear until the 1950s. It has went through many changes, starting with the simple, black-and-white TV set that only had 2-3 channels. Those who were lucky enough to have seen all changes should be proud of them. So before we step back and announce our favorite Television Shows, please note that any show that began in the 2000s (21st Century) does not qualify. Remember that it has to be a show that countless millions have enjoyed over the years, and ones that kids will enjoy watching in the future. That being said, the limit I will allow is up through the late 1990s. Anything else beyond that isn't eligible for being a classic show. After that, just feel free to post any favorite classic show that you enjoyed, starting from the Golden Age of Television to the Bill Clinton era. I'll post mine: I Love Lucy (1951-1957) The Honeymooners (1955-1956) Leave it to Beaver (1957-1963) The Andy Griffith Show (1960-1968) I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970) All in the Family (1971-1979) Sanford & Son (1972-1977) Saturday Night Live (1975-present) Diff'rent Strokes (1978-1986) Taxi (1978-1983) The Cosby Show (1984-1992) Duck Tales (1987-1990) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987-1996) Family Matters (1989-1998) Seinfeld (1989-1998) The Simpsons (1989-present) The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990-1996) Tale Spin (1990-1991) Ren & Stimpy (1991-1994) Beavis & Butthead (1993-1998) Gargoyles (1994-1997) I will add more shows to this once I think about them... pfilc23
I'm surprised that at least 1/2 your (op) list is actually classic tv, I expected this would be more about semi-recent shows. These are the show that I watched a lot of reruns of as a kid: Dragnet, Lone Ranger, Twilight Zone, Gilligan's Island, Brady Bunch, Chips, Happy Days, Three's Company. And these are the 80's shows I watched when they we on: A-Team, Riptide, Greatest American Hero, Simon and Simon, Cheers, Night Court, 21 Jump Street, The Wonder Years, Fall Guy, Battlestar Galacitca, Magnum PI, Quantum Leap, Tour of Duty. indy500fan
While I enjoy older shows sometimes, I haven't really watched many series from start to finish, so I don't feel right mentioning them. I will mention Babylon 5 and Seinfeld, both of which I have seen in the entirety, but neither of which are quite old enough to be considered classics. Mirror
Some good shows on there. Personally, I loved to stay up and watch shows like: I Love Lucy I Dream of Jeannie Bewitched (Oh how I miss this show) Brady Bunch Monkees (I saw a clip recently and died laughing) and of course Happy Days. I loved watching that with my family. But the kids shows I loved included Transformers and Beast Wars Old School Nickelodeon (I always wanted to be on Double Dare) Tail Spin Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers Oh how I enjoyed my childhood television. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

That would be one of them that I would mention if I had seen the entire series, I've seen a lot of episodes but not them all. Same goes with Twilight Zone. Unless you're watching old NBC re-runs. PINGU !!!!!!! That was the bread and butter of my childhood. Also going to be my next signature.
