I don't mind skillers at all. Everyone plays the game for the same reason, to have fun! If people are not training combat and having fun that way, then it's their choice. A lot of skillers don't get combat because they find it more challenging, which is understandable. That's why it's very respectable when a level three gets certain 99's.

No, you're not a pure skiller, that's a stupid name, you don't train all skills. You're a non-combat skiller, and I don't mind them, but I do think they're a waste of time since if they trained combat some of their skills would be more easily obtained.

I think skillers are cool, because myself I would never have the patience to just train skills and never combat :).

I seriously do not get the people who make accounts purely for woodcutting (I'm sure you've seen those 'Pur3 Wc3r' names or something similar)...

I don't consider myself a skiller. While I do see the value in many non combat skills, I spend most of my time in RS soloing GWD, or killing TDs, or something combat related. I easily have enough money to rush all my buyables to 99, but I haven't done so because getting 99 in those skills won't let me do much of anything I can't do now. Meanwhile, my combat exp continues to rise, I've passed 40m Attack exp and will break 20m Range exp soon.

I started a skiller today (have attempted them in the past but returned from a 2 year break from RuneScape). I am friends/was friends with a few, and they were always determined individuals. I've never really been a fan of the combat skills, but they are handy to have. Either way, they way someone plays the game is up to them.

I started off as a skiller, then I got tired of having extreme restrictions such as getting attacked by Highwaymen and pretty much...anything on the way to anywhere. Then I decided to train combat and now I'm level 91 in about a month and a half of intense training. So skilling opens a world of opportunity, but if you don't have the strength to do quests or any of that, it's not worth it.

I could not do it. \

 

Low lvl pkers, sure. More so a rsclassic thing though, more so than today.

Maybe they have preference for one particular skill instead of all?

To someone who eventually wants to get maxed total side accounts just seem like a waste of time. That's why I've always sticked with one account.

This thread comes up at least once a month. Honestly it doesn't matter what people think about skillers. Play the game for fun and shut up about it.

Hey, go help yourself out and raise that combat up so you can fully experience the game, and make skilling easier on yourself. A 99 is a 99 regardless of how you get it.

I don't mind skillers too much really. Certainly if more people use skillers, then more combat training spots will be open. :P

I don't get skillers, why not just train on your main account? :roll:
