I'd personally like to see an entire new branch of combat introduced.

 

 

 

Rather than new weapon types, something introduced that allows you to use your body as an effective weapon.

 

Yes I'm talking about forms of martial arts- a new set of gloves (in the weapon slot) would serve to unlock the animations/skills of a martial artist.

 

 

 

this could go on to include full sets of robes and light armors that enhance the power of weapon free combat, and possibly even add effects, such as stunning, paralyzing, or even going into magic attacks unleashed at random. Much like barrows, but more offensively focused, with speed etc than defensively focused.

 

 

 

 

 

Another weapon i've always been a fan of, though i dont know the name, is a bladed staff (much like a halberd/spear, but with blades/tips on both ends, used much like a bo-staff) two handed, incredibly fast, or one handed slow stabbing weapon.

 

 

 

All in all, I want to see more versatile, diverse, and special weapons, which offer options as to how they are used, and give options into what they can do- Different fighting robes/gloves/boots- kickboxing, muai thai, karate etc. As well, weapons which have options such as wielding one handed OR two handed, both ways would offer different speeds and uses.

rs needs a few hibrid weapons. stuff like battle staffs or salymanders.

 

 

 

how about a (bronze/log to dragon/magic log) bladed bow, that that is a 2h ranged bow and a 2h sword, its stats are about 75-90% of a normal bows attack, and 75-90% on a normal 2h sowrds attack. you would probably find many people useing this on the kq, jad, maybe evan pking.

 

 

 

also, a new form of dwarven cannon, maybe as an upgrade *cough last redaxe quest cough*.

yeah we need more mage weapons it seems like melee is getting absolutely all of the attention.

I would like to see a weapon that would act like a staff and autocast but have good att bonuses and could be a good melee wepon too.

I would like to see a kind of weapon, like a blade of sort that could be used like this, it would be a sword, in which when you use the special ability, it will summon a few creatures to attack that one opponent, but that special would only work in multi-combat. The monsters you summon power would increase/decrease with your summoning level, if you have 99 summoning you will summon some pretty tough beast, but with a level like 1, eh lets say they wont do much.

meteor hammer--real weapon, but for rs its basically a ball on the end of a rope that you swing and release to hit, mage one could absorb fire and earth runes for a meteor attack.

 

 

 

fists of the mountain--mage gloves that absorb fire and earth runes to strike with a lava spell(1sq max)

In all honesty, Ive had ideas for D boots and D claws since before they came out. And they look suspiciously similar to mine... :roll: (posted drawings on suggest updates forum back when I was a noob), but I think something I would really like to see is more things like whips. Practical things that can be used in almost every situation. Things that are decent for both training and hunting monsters.

I think that considering there is almost no asian influence in this game, it's neither likely, nor plausible to include either asian weapons or asian martial arts.

 

 

 

To add to that, the predominantly european feel of runescape would be a bit sullied if there were people running around doing ju jitsu or wielding katanas and other similar weapons. These two cultures really were not much involved with each other in the time frame in which runescape could be said to be set.

 

 

 

A couple additions I could see, to go with my previous suggestions are things like;

cutlasses

 

perhaps a baselard

 

maybe an atlatl

 

there really are numerous possibilities

I think it might be awesome if another time travel quest was added to the Meeting History questline. Something that allowed us to go to the future and get some future-RuneScape weapons and armour.

honestly, i want to see some better short swords. ever since i played oblivion, I've fallen in love with short swords. also, maybe some more duel weapons.
