June 28, 200917 yr Why not a: Dirk-a longer dagger but not quite a short sword. It's former use was as a weapon to be placed under a shield to attack; so here is dual wielding right here. Chúi-a staff with a weighted ball at one end of it. I could see this being used as a crushing spear, good for waterfiends. And while they're at it why not add a better animation to those canes implementing the martial art Bartitsu (a martial art that uses a specialized weapon cane to attack and defend). June 28, 200917 yr boomerangs. could have lower damage then other ammo but could also have a very low chance of losing them blowgun and darts that could have diffenet abilities depending on the type of poison used on them (posion, disease, stat reduction ect.) i would love to see a claymore. the biggest sword ever made edit: i'd love an expansion to mage as well. more wands would be nice and i'd like to see true spell books and scrolls where each could have a limited number of special spells that could be cast from reading off of the pages instead of using runes, like the animate rock scroll. and i've actually been thinking for a while now of a new use for summoning. instead of binding familiars into pouches why not bind them into weapons and armour and give that armour and weapons new abilities based on the familiar that you use on it. [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

June 28, 200917 yr Dirty Harry's magnum. "I know what you're thinking...did he fire 5 rounds or 6? Well the question is... do you feel lucky? Well do ya, noob?"
June 28, 200917 yr Personally, I'd like to see a new kind of damage. I think something that gives Firemaking more of a purpose would be nice too. Therefore, I think something like "combat torches" would be sweet. They'd hit hard and deal burn damage (an orange splat) that acts like poison only it lasts for 3 or so rounds before wearing out, dealing a percentage of the player's hp in damage each round. The torches would come in the basic log types, while being crafted using the Crafting skill by cutting it and adding coal to it. The end product would need to be lit using the Firemaking skill, and the level required would vary by the level of wood used. : Click Here for a Common Sense Dungeoneering Guide
June 28, 200917 yr Battle Rifle. [/thread] OT: I'd actually like the whole weapon system to be hugely overhauled, or add a new layer between 60-75 that are like Rapiers etc, but don't suck. My Gamercard | Click for Blog | Mining Guide | Illumination
June 28, 200917 yr I wouldn't mind seeing some better Throwing Knives, maybe some with a spec that allow you to hit twice with one hit. A better X'bow would be nice too, something that is in the cost region of the Dark Bow. Hopefully something that has a spec similar to that of the Dark Bow. Better spears would be a good idea too. I was also thinking maybe something like a Drocanic Blade. Something with simmilar power of a DFS that will absord Dragonfire. It would have to be a 2 Handed weapon, maybe a spec that blasts fire. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]

June 28, 200917 yr I would like a bow that emphasises speed instead of strength. Each attack style should have its own unique style, not just copy the others. Mage causes other effects, melee has strength, range has strength but not as much as melee. I'd love if D'hide gave you a speed boost due to lighter weight and heavy armour slowed you down while running also. besides that i'd like to see a respectable two handed sword that's not majorly overpowered. I was reading this thread, then I hit this psot and had to stop to lol. No armour gives a "speed boost" but every kg you are above 0 your energy drains faster. Eg d'hide you run further than full armour because its lighter Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
June 29, 200917 yr Either - Spec that deals max hit or nothing Or just very very very very very accurate and armour piercing yet low strength weapon.
June 29, 200917 yr dragon w'hammer or chinchompa powered throwing knife launcher I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come
June 29, 200917 yr I want to see weapons that can be used in ways other than damage damage damage... Why not weapons like ... slingshots. Fire a couple rounds of metallic bullets at someone to stun them momentarily. Good for team pvping, castlewars, etc. Possibilities. Or, take the boomerang idea and the ability to multi-attack, but, weaken it by a lot... like to the point people won't even consider using it for its damage. Then, you could give it an effect of making all monsters and players hit with it automatically run towards you to attack even if they are already pre-occupied. Then there always is the idea of pistols/guns/etc. My idea would be specialized bullets. For example, sphere shaped bullets would be very effective on plate armor, but, suffer a harsh damage penalty on robes or leather armor. You get the idea. Ooh, ohh! Dragon warhammer... lmao. But, RuneScape is getting to the point where it's going to have to start adding in weapons usually seen in other mmo's out there. It'll be interesting to see what happens nonetheless.
June 29, 200917 yr i say runescape can get away with rifles. runescape already has cannons, why can't they add rifles (or muskets). they where both created around the early elizebethian/late renaissance period. so muskets shud fit the time period being that cannons are there. just rename it so it sounds more runescapian, like..dwarven musket or something

I mean, it would make sense there, but not in Runescape.
July 2, 200917 yr A new weapon, released with a grandmaster quest. Ability to put polished (rub cut gem with sand paper) and enchanted gems to get special effects in the weapon........ July 2, 200917 yr also a weapon that would totaly fit with rs in every way. A TANK!!!! POWWW! lol :? also (no joke now...), there needs to be a mage staff/wand with a spec! something like a 100% chace of hiting and/or that hit will not use any runes. or maybe a spec that makes the efect of a spell 50% stronger (eg, binds last 50% longer, spells deal 50% more damage ect) that would be sweet  maybe an efect baced on the elemant, fire deals poision like burn damage, earth just hits very hard, water loweres mage and attack a bit?, wind knocks back the targit. another idea would be a compound that will exsplode when put on an poisonable ranged item, shooting bombs at people would be fun (why else do people like chinchompas so much  ) I'm a Brony and proud of it!
July 2, 200917 yr I've been trying to think up of weapons and armour that are very useful but very specific to doing certain tasks. Can't be bothered checking through the entire thread to see if these sort of things have been mentioned but I was thinking: Not really a weapon but...some sort of Tower Shield, requiring level 80/90 Attack, Defence, Range and Mage. It would be a 2 handed shield. Why all these requirements? It would be the ultimate piece of equipment specifically for the purpose of tanking, giving high defence to melee, mage and range, it would make the user unable to fight but would give them fantastic defensive stats, which would help for team boss killing. Jagex could then implement some new boss monsters which would require more defensive tactics and also possibly adds a new dimension to fighting current bosses, do you potentially sacrifice an extra member who can block some hits whilst still being able to dish out a couple every now or then? Blood Swords. Some sort of very rare drop that starts off only requiring level 5 attack and strength! You can only have one, for high levels it would be a horribly weak weapon but the first monster you kill with it leaves it's blood on the sword and enchants it. Boosting the strength of the weapon but also boosting the requirements to wield and setting it to only being useful to fighting that specific type of monster. It would be able to get charged up 10 times requiring in the end level 85 strength and attack. It would only be usable on certain monsters, like demons, giants, elementals and the undead, maybe some other species. In the end it would be a fantastic training weapon, in order to reset it back to the base Blood Sword, you would need a cleaning cloth to remove the blood. Hand cannons. The rangers version of the melee warhammers, it can hit pretty good on melee, well certainly do some damage to mage, and you still have the benefit of using safe spots, and you'll definitely need them because you won't get many oppurtunities to hit a warrior and run. New basic elemental staffs but with the stats of a dragon mace. Giving you a fairly decent combat weapon alongside giving an infinite supply of runes. It would have a special attack that gives a physical attack an elemental charge. Hitting extra hard on warriors at the cost of having to get up close and also dealing extra damage to elemental monsters, e.g, fire giants would be hit hard by a water charged version of this staff. Bow-swords, magers can use staffs to do melee attacks, so lets give warriors the oppurtunity to use melee and range too! The stats would would have to be in weird proportions in order to give somewhat decent range bonuses alongside being somewhat usable with melee armour. I can't think of a name for it, but it's something to keep up with the other hybrid weapons, rangers given access to a weapon that is used for range but also has an infinite supply of the basic elemental runes, much like a staff but obviously for range. The thought came to me from a dragon headed weapon that attaches to the rangers arm and is used much like a flamethrower. But I thought why restrict it to just fire and make it useable as a mage weapon, very hard for me to describe at the moment because i'm trying to visualise it a bit better and how to use it. It would be a two handed weapon, but could it possibly end up being too overpowered? Here's some other things I want to see that other people may of mentioned: -With the eventual release of the Eastern Lands, I want to see some sort of boss Cyclops, that drops an untradeable dragon defender. - I also want to see Katana's up to dragon and would like to require an agility level to wield. - Tougher mage armour defensively, requiring agility levels to 'be able to move well enough to cast magic'. - A new set of armour, requiring level 80/85 defence to wear with stats comparable to Barrows, it would include a shield and boots in the set. And it would be a reward for master smithers, requiring boss monsters to be killed for the ores, specific forges being required including different secondary items to make various types of bars. And combinations of these various bars would be required to make the pieces of armour. A lot of work and hassle, but required to somewhat balance the fact you basically have barrows armour with an added shield and boots and won't degrade. EDIT - Although I say a reward for smithers, I mean, giving them a reason to have it at 99, since rune isn't really all that much of an honour, the armour would be tradeable. - Newer prayer attire. Armour equivalent to rune with decent prayer bonuses, also give some new blessed leather armour and blessed robes so mages and rangers can get in on it. Think i'll leave it at that for now, think some of the stuff i've thought of need a lot of fine tuning to not be absurdly overpowered or to actually make them viable to players!
July 4, 200917 yr what ever happened to the bow-sword from Devious Minds? Lolz! I wan one!! Anyway, aside from bad grammar, I'd love it ! Follower of GuthixThe quill is a miracle, for it drinks darkness and sheds light. Oh right, by the way, I'm a girl. No more calling me a guy you lot~
July 4, 200917 yr Why not a: Dirk-a longer dagger but not quite a short sword. It's former use was as a weapon to be placed under a shield to attack; so here is dual wielding right here.. That's the dumbest weapon I have ever heard of in my entire life!
July 4, 200917 yr A staff with decent melee stats that makes magic work like how it did in RSC. Called it a Mystic staff, and give it these stats: Attack Defense Stab 10 2 Slash -1 3 Crush 40 1 Magic 10 10 Range 0 0 Summoning 0 Other Strength 50 Prayer 0 Ranged Strength 0
July 4, 200917 yr When I think of melee training weapon, I can only think of Abyssal whips (and the occasional Zamorakian Spear for waterfiends). When I think of GWD boss fighting, I think of Godswords. Honestly speaking, while we have A LONG LIST of weapons in the game, there isn't many that's actually useful. This is the list of weapons that we can smith: swords, longsword, scimitar, 2-hand sword, mace, warhammer, axe, battleaxe, hasta, spears, halberds, claws Now, imagine that you've just reached Level 40 in Attack. How many of those rune weapons would you actually used for any form of combat on a regular basis, be it training, or dueling? We have many great suggestions here. But if these are implemented, I'm afraid they're either going to be a silly quest reward, or a new weapon we can make (and no one uses), or the next whip. Simply put, there isn't many useful choices available to us at each level, since attack style and accuracy barely matters against most monsters. What do the majority of the players use at level 40 Attack? Rune scimitar. Level 60? Dragon Scimitar. Level 70? Abyssal Whip, or Saradomin Sword. We always pick the fastest weapons first, and then the strongest out of the fastest, unless the monster has INSANE defence that requires the specific style, and very high accuracy bonus.
