Could be worse. I found a spot in the area with the Thorian where you were killed instantly with no explanation, and possibly a few other random instant death areas.

I totally remember that

I'd say the glitches were worse in mine. Not only did you stop moving, and have no way to do anything, you couldn't access the start menu, meaning you would have to go the xbox dashboard and restart the game, then reload your save. Like dying, only takes longer.

Also, I hated with thresher maws how if you were within like 100 feet of them they could headbutt the air and you'd die.

Yea, Hopefully they don't make a reappearance...

I found one Glitch were you get stuck on a un-walkable place in Noveria and I had to restart from the save...

I've had more than a couple of glitches where I had to reload my last chechpoint. Also, Threshers piss me off because I would randomly die, when I didn't even get hit as far as I could see. The worst is getting killed by them when the pop up, or even worse, when that happens the first time they pop up, and your last checkpoint was a couple hours, and many planets ago.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,
and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That
regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,
better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.
It's experience.

You don't know how much I hated that...

There Auto save feature completely SUCKED! It didn't save like every planet you went to which was bull...I swear they could have made it so you saved in the elevator or landing on a planet...

Threshers were overpowered too...

I would still take them over the Thorian

At least threshers were avoidable

Whenever I saw a thresher, I'd drive as fast as I could to a rocky area, and snipe it with the big gun on mako.

The thorian wasn't too bad for me as I didn't randomly die, and by that time I had a really nice configuration with my guns, where my assault rifle never overheated, and it always was perfectly accurate (Frictionless materials did all that I think), and that mixed with immunity, shield boost, and adrenaline rush let me go through the entire thing without dying. But those thorian creeprs were annoying to kill. Took two shots with a shotgun each, which is a lot of if there are like 50,000 of them.

Somehow I never experienced any of the glitches you guys listed. I didn't really have a problem with thresher maws either, I just kept circling the area and blasting them with the big cannon as soon as they appeared.

Same. They really weren't that bad if you did that.

Mass Effect was the first game I played on the 360. It was the [cabbage], and it justified me dropping ~320 USD for it and the pro system. However, there were a FEW problems.

1) There wasn't enough content. As kickass as the gameplay was, it seemed too short. This might just be me wanting to play it longer, but still. Get a more varied library of things to do, and I'll be fine here.

2) The areas I could go to were VERY limited, and too much of them seemed cookie-cutter.

3) The weapon types I could use were limited. Opponents got freaking ROCKET LAUNCHERS where we got grenades. Sure, the explosive rounds mod might effectively turn a gun into one, but it's just not the same.

4) The way that special abilities were done seems lackluster. When I'm playing a soldier, the only abilities I use personally are the weapon attack abilities. While some of the effects seem useful, I really dislike pausing the action every time I want to use them. I'd like that fixed, please.

5) Sniper rifles are WAY too finicky. While I can understand the low accuracy unless if you use the zoom feature, having the targeting reticule move around like I'm drunk is somewhat overkill. Reduce that, and I'm good.

I can't wait for the next one!

All the faults of Mass Effect would have not mattered to me if it was possible to have 3 person co-op. Your friends just take the place of your two allies, one of you is deemed Shepard, so they control what areas you go to.

I'm really hoping that Mass Effect 2 lives up to the claims of the makers to the fullest extent, as almost all 'consequential actions'-based games fail to do.

I'm fine with them releasing this in 2010 if it means adding online coop PLEASE.

Adept was *the* most badass class in the game. Lift -> Throw and Singularity were just too awesome.

Go to start a new game, the first option you have is between three things, just play as John Sheppard, change your name/gender (I think?) and the third is to use an existing profile. Use an existing profile.

Damn, I started playing this game again and I'm hooked. Mass Effect, where have you been all my life? My guy's a level 12-something Soldier, though I feel like I'm missing out on the Biotics and Tech skills. Great story though, and tons of exotic things to do.

Quick question: If a squad member has Biotic and/or Tech abilities, do you yourself have to activate them for that squad member to use the member's capabilities in battle, or will they just activate the powers themselves? Decryption is an example, and the various Biotic powers. I can't get this straight.

They use them on your own.
