New Member - Any Quests to do? Also a Slayer Question

Featured Replies

I just became a member and I would like to know what Quests are good for me to do right away.

I have already completed Lost City, Myths of the White Lands, Sea Slug, Sheep Herder, Swept Away, and Wolf Whistle.

Please give any suggestions for Quests and anything to do with membership.

Thank You.

Druidic ritual -> unlocks the herblore skill.

Basically all quests that unlock equipment and/or areas.

Example: Fairy tale 1 &2 for both magic secateurs and fairy ring access.

Ghost 'Ahoy for ectovial + morytania access.

Watchtower -> yanille teleport

Eadgars ruse -> trollheim teleport.

There are many, many more. The requirements for some ogf these quests should give you some incentive to train your (new) members skills.

Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

All the ones which unlock transport methods and/or areas. Priest in Peril, Fairy Tale Part 2 (just get upto the fairy ring part), enlighted journey, ghost ahoy, underground pass + regicide, RfD (best gloves in the game), etc.

Just start with the easy quests and work your way through them.

Well I think you should do some quests:

Lost City - Dragon Long sword and dragon dagger

Druidic Ritual - herblore skill

Wolf Whistle - Summoning skill

tree Gnome village - unlocks spirit trees

You should do other quests that unlock weapons

GL on your first month =9

Do them all!

(Or a couple a day)

It will get you familiar with what P2P is all about!

definitely fairy tale part 1 and then start part 2 (you don't need to meet the requirements or complete the quest) so you can use all those fairy rings. You'll wonder how you ever got around runescape before.

Any quests that give good bonuses are advisable. The quest that gives you the ectophial is very useful as its a one-click teleport that doesn't cost anything.

Or if you're like me, do all of them. I nearly have (got 2 left!)

New members should take advantage of quests to raise farming easily. Say you start at level 1 farming. You can do Fairy Tale Part 1, then Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf, then Garden of Tranquillity, then My Arm's Big Adventure and Enlightened Journey, and right there you're already high enough farming to plant ranarrs and make incredible profits, and you barely needed to touch a spade! (Although to take full advantage of farming ranarrs, you'll need to buy some skills necklaces and complete Ghosts Ahoy and all of the Lumbridge Diary, in order to unlock the fastest teleports to all of the herb patches.)

Plus, in the process, you'll unlock My Arm's disease-free herb patch, as well as the magic secateurs to increase your yield by 10%.

Why do we all get so giddy when helping new mems :)

top_lel_face.png

Alright, really long post ahead, beware XD

The "first priority" quests are the ones that unlock teleports, skills, and things like that. I recommend you start with these, as the teleports will help you a lot.

The other quests unlock some other handy things, just browse through and see if any of the rewards are appealing to you ;D

First priority quests:

Drudic ritual - Unlocks herblore skill

Tears of guthix - Possibly one of the fastest and easiest member quests, gives you access to a once-a-week minigame that gives you exp in your lowest skill.

Fairy Tale Pt 1 & 2 - As previously mentioned, unlocks fairy ring system for transportation.

Grand Tree - Unlocks the spirit tree transportation system.

Gnome Stronghold - Unlocks gnome glider transportation system.

Biohazard - Unlocks ardougne teleport. Also, access to a nice spot with caged ogres, great for risk-free ranging exp.

Watchtower - Unlocks watchtower teleport

Eadgar's Ruse - Unlocks trollheim teleport.

Heroes Quest - Access to Heroes guild, and ability to use a dragon battleaxe

Legends Quest - Access to Legends guild, which has a good training spot in the basement (and you get a really pretty white cape!)

Smoking Kills - Gives huge improvents to the slayer skill, including a point system, which in my opinion makes the skill a lot more fun to train.

Other helpful quests:

All Fired Up - Unlocks beacon lighting minigame, which can get you good firemaking exp and some items for firemaking (check out tip it's guide for more details)

Desert Treasure - Unlocks the ancient spellbook

Lunar Diplomacy - Unlocks the lunar spellbook

Dream Mentor - Additional lunar spells

Animal Magnetism - Gives you "Ava's Attractor", which is like a backpack that automatically picks up your ammo when you're ranging.

Dwarf Cannon - Allows you to purchase a cannon, which can be used for great range exp (though it can be very expensive!)

Family Crest - Gives you gauntlets that you can get enchanted in 3 different ways. If you get the cooking enchantment, they make you burn far fewer fish when you wear them.

The Fremennik Trials / The Fremennik Isles - Access to the Rellekka area, and the islands of Jatizso and Neitiznot

Ghost's Ahoy - Access to the port phasmatys area, and a one-click teleport there. Also, easy access to the ectofuntus, which is the best prayer exp you can get, although it's a lot slower than other methods.

Horror From the Deep - Gives you one of three prayer books, which are held in the shield slot and give great bonuses. You can eventually get all 3, but you start with just 1.

Monkey Madness - Access to the island of ape atoll, which has a great agility course, and also lets you use dragon scimitars.

Recipe for Disaster - Huge quest with lots of different subquests, gives you a second bank in the lumbridge basement with the ability to buy the best gloves in the game (+12 to almost all attack and defense bonuses)

Swan Song - Access to the Piscatories fishing colony, where you can fish monkfish, which are excellent fishing exp.

Throne of Miscellania / Royal Trouble - Lets you rule your own kingdom! You can have your subjects collect resources for you, it's a great way to make money without actually doing anything. There's plenty of guides on this, I recommend checking them out.

I think I covered just about everything. All the other quests have nice rewards too, of course, but I think these are all the ones that unlock areas/items/etc.

Good luck :]

SportsGuy's Short Guide to Ghostly Warriors

Familiarisation Reward Research[/hide]

As you can see, there are many, MANY quests to choose from. They ALL have something nice as reward, although some are more usefull then others.

When I got members, I finished 10 quests the first day. I used guides for them all, just to get them over with. Nowadays, I use quest guides only when I get seriously stuck. I find it to be much more rewarding at the end...

But seriously, go for the "unlocking" quests first. As you finish more and more, you'll gain exp and experience in the way RS works and looks like.

Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

Another thing: You would want to start all archievement diarys as soon as possible. Then forget about the diarys and go around and do your quests and everyday stuff in the game. Every now and then your daily wearabouts will happen to be something that acutally also is a diary task - and you will get a message that your archievement diary has been updated.

Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

The Lost City.

Plague City.

Waterfall Quest.

Druidic Ritual.

Wolf Whistle.

Those are among the basic Quests, although doing as many as you can helps too.

Hehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. Thank god we are addicted to something that won't kill us.

Also, "As a first resort" is a really really useful quest because it gives access to pools that give +8 prayer boost (this doesn't fade, it holds until you use prayers), hp boost (again temporary, this fades slowly back to your regular hp), temporary infinite run (cuts off after a while and you return to normal run), a hunter boosting pool (fades), and a Bandos pool (cuts off eventually) which is useful for GodWars Dungeon.

Theres a quest and for the life of me I cant remember its name, but it gives you 10 stews that give a good amount of exp in any skill. I hope some body else can remember its name.

I hope I never dreamt that quest up. :-#

I know some body has already said it but do monkey madness (kind of annoying but the boss is easy) and get a dragon scimmy, which is a good and cheap str training weapon.

Tahnk you all for the responses!

I'm training Slayer right now for Level 35 so I can complete Smoking Kills, as I like Slayer and it will make it more fun.

I still haven't really decided what other quests to do, but I will look through all of the suggestions and choose.
