Yeah, 'period' is just a made up word by americans, full stop is the proper term.

One of the reasons i dont really like them other then for toast is beacuse Its unsymmetrical like a poster above said its like u dont get the sandwich look from it. all nice and flat.

I only eat homemade bread and the crust of homemade bread tastes so much better than store bought bread, so I don't mind eating the end pieces.

my god. what the bloody hell is wrong with you people? i freaking love the crust pieces of bread, i actually request them, and my sister's and i have argued over who gets them before. you people are freaking weird.

I find mos American food tasteless. Have you tried the Hostess brand? It's horrible, they got nothing on Marinela. Also you can't win against some fresh just out pan dulce. Same thing with coca-cola. It's alot better in Mexico =P

I used to hate crust so much that I'd want to cut it off, but I was good and didn't waste food and just ate it anyways. I think the reason why I didn't like crust was because I had to chew more (lazy).

I luurve the end slices!!

 

 

 

But that's cos I'm a big boy who knows to eat his crusts. 8-)

I tend to avoid the end slices, though I don't really mind. Unless it's brown bread I guess crusts don't have much nutrition anyway.

Bread is bread. I usually just save them to make a sandwich.

The end pieces always lay forgotten in the bag :cry:

I was going to have some of my personal bread today when I realised that there was a HUGE [bleep]ING BLACK FUNGUS IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.

 

 

 

I took pictures but for some reason my laptop is being screwy so I'll post them soon =/

 

 

 

I'm very upset :(

The crusty ones are just there if we're desperate otherwise my mom feeds them to the birds.

It was just this horrible big patch of black that was on more than one slice. The thing is I'd only had it since Tuesday and the bread has been tied up, I've had bread last longer than that before so it must have been like that when I bought it =/

The smallest slices become toast or are used for dunking in soup/stew. The other pieces often make sandwiches. Although, sometimes I make sandwiches out of the first and second (last and second last) pieces. Depends on whether or not I'm eating soup/stew. What an interesting question. :thumbsup:

My mum would probably make me cut it off and eat it if I ended up with bread like that.

 

I'm kidding. Wouldn't be too bad if I cut it off and then put it in the toaster though.

I eat the ends. I don't see why not; I love the crust.

Generally the end pieces get left until the rest of the bread has been eaten, I find that the end pieces used together are great for making cheese toasties
