What movie(s) did you last see?

Hot Fuzz > Shaun of the Dead

I agree.

One thing's for sure, anything involving Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is lulzy and epic.

They've got a new movie coming out

Also, both of them will be lending their voices in the Tin Tin movie:

  • I haven't finished it yet, but started watching Forrest Gump...now I understand the line "Run, Forrest, Run!" at least <_<.

  • I watched Ghostbusters last night. Funny movie for those who haven't seen it.

It was pretty good. I enjoyed it.

I thought the ending was a huge let down. Kinda dissapointing nothing interesting happened.

I thought the ending was perfect. How else should a religious fanatic/serial killer die other than martyr fashion?

Just finished The Kids Are All Right. Could have gone many ways there at the end but overall a strong film.

And you think a fan of SP, NF and Tintin wouldn't know this? Can't wait for both movies.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Kind of fun :P

Just from looking at a picture of the DVD cover and vaguely remembering the trailer in front of another movie a year ago, that is the exact words I would expect to give on a review of that movie. I'll probably get it here before long.

I love you, Beth Cooper & Miss March, both were alright. Worth the watch but not amazing.

Get back here so I can rub your butt.

Avatar - It looked very, very pretty. That's about all I'll say for it. I did enjoy how the guy playing Jake had trouble keeping his Aussie accent from slipping through, though.

Watched Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire yesterday, I think it's the best Harry Potter movie by far.

Inception - I definitely enjoyed it. It was pretty awesome the first time watching it having known absolutely nothing about it other than a few of the actors in it. This second time watching it was pretty awesome as well since I didn't have to formulate possibilities as the movie went along. However, I don't foresee myself watching this often, or possibly ever again.

Same here, and same thoughts. I enjoyed it more the second time around. The first time it was interesting to consider the possibilities, but the second time it was more enjoyable to go back and more clearly pick up on everything and immediately understand how it fit into the story. But I also don't think I'll watch it again for a very long time.

District 9 : pretty good, mixes social reflection with sci fi action. Wouldn't mind a sequel.

The room: Probably the best movie I've ever seen. The acting is simply superb, the intrincate plot drowns you in thoughts about human relationships, critisizing trivial events such as tossing a football, and Wiseau was brave enough to even go into the subject of drugs. 5 stars, 10/10, A++

I'd say you have to watch it for yourself and see.

[hide] It's one of those movies that is so bad it's good. Just that in this case it's taken to the extreme. [/hide]

I watched Predators tonight. Not bad. I was a little disappointed in the ending though..

[hide=Spoilers]I would have liked to see if/how they got off the planet since other than staying alive, that was kind of the whole point.[/hide]

You've seen Ben Hibon's gorgeous zombie animation work in A.D. and more recently in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. But now Hibon's getting a

project all his own: a dark Peter Pan movie where Hook is the good guy.

Variety is reporting that Swiss director Hibon has signed on to direct Pan, a dark retelling of the Peter Pan fairy tale. Originally intended for Guillermo del Toro, "the film puts a dark spin on J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan," with Captain Hook as a haunted former police detective in pursuit of a childlike kidnapper an idea we love. Say what you will about Tinkerbell, Peter Pan kidnapped tons and tons of children to form his troupe of "lost boys," orphaned or not, and it's creepy. And it's about time someone exploited this for a highly entertaining feature.

We're also very excited about getting Hibon involved. This was the same artist who oversaw the animated sequence in Harry Potter where they explain the Deathly Hallows' origins, and is directing the zombie movie A.D. And if you've forgotten how amazing the teaser trailer for A.D. was, then here it is again.

The best kind of character development is when you can actually understand the motives of the bad guy, and create a grey morality in which he can actually be seen as good, and vice versa. I'm waiting for this movie eagerly.

Saw District 9 this evening.

Thought it was a very good film. Not particularly nice, but it conveys its message well I think.

Watched Howl's Moving Castle this afternoon. It was a beautiful move, the art style illustrated was just amazing.

Someone posted that in the comments section. Haha.

Watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. By far the best Potter movie so far, I thought it was a good movie to stand on its own as well. Like, it was a good movie, and not just an enjoyable one. Good script, good acting (They've learnt I suppose) and great cinematography.

Oh Hi The Room watchers

Best part is the reused sex scenes.

Saw The Warriors. It was alright, and I SWEAR that one annoying guy was one of the bad guys from Commando, but it's probably not him.
