Or will you keep some root words and get rid of numbers, etc. Personally, I really want to change my name from d _ _ _ _ u _ _ _ _x to a one word name. I have a few in mind that are available. The only thing holding me back is that I'm so used to being called dux, and because people love that I have more than one space (which is not allowed anymore). August 14, 200916 yr Author Has Jagex confirmed the name changing thing? I'd probably take "X" Yes Mod MMG confirmed in one of the Q & A's. As far as we know, it's a display name change. So you still have to log in with your original name, but in-game if you selected a new display name that's what people will see. Also, X is definitely already taken. August 15, 200916 yr I'd like to change mine. It's Ice Goddess1 so of course I'd love to get rid of that nasty little number at the end. I'd either find a way to keep it as Ice Goddess without a number in it, or just keep the "Ice" part and change the rest. Depends on what name will stick in the hiscores. I doubt Jagex will allow you impersonate an other player.... But you raise a valid point. Jagex will need to prevent impersonation.
