Same... :( This was a terribly boring summer, made even worse due to the [cabbage]ty [wagon] job market right now. I applied to a ton of jobs but no one wants to hire someone for like 2 1/2 months.

 

 

 

Thank god college starts up again next week.

Work mostly. Earned a fair amount of money which will be going towards purchasing my first car.

Quit Runescape (possibly temporarily, but I dont see a reason to return), Met a great woman (who I'm now going out with), Made around £1,400, (which I used to buy a new Camera, 2 lenses, a Bag and various other bits), Stopped playing video games pretty much altogether (I do play COD5 and FFR sometimes, but only when I have absolutely nothing to do), and a few other things.

 

 

 

Still 3 and a half weeks left of Summer holiday for me, much more epicness to happen \

I got rejected from a volunteer position at a library. What the hell.

 

This was the first summer where I've really only stayed home. The past three years, I've gone back to Taiwan, and before that I either also went back to Taiwan or went somewhere else.

 

Which means I stayed home and played computer games every single day. My eyesight has probably decreased so much. I suppose I managed to complete some nice things in some video games, which can count as achievements...

 

...Though I did kind of learn Python. I suppose that's the only real achievement for me this summer. I've also picked up running and swimming on a somewhat frequent basis again.

 

Still two and a half weeks left for me, and as I'm a procrastinator maybe I can get something done.

Granted, I applied kind of late. (Only like two weeks into the summer though, and I was gone during the first week on a service trip)

 

But it's still beyond me why you would reject free work. :?

Well, let's see... I went to Wisconsin for a few days, came home for a couple weeks, then went to Michigan on a service trip, learned to knit, started taking Taekwondo lessons(Testing for yellow belt next Saturday), went to a music festival and saw Skillet live, saw Steven Tyler fall off the stage, made $500 in a week and bought tickets to see Skillet again in November, this time with 3 friends.

 

 

 

I'd say it was a much better summer than I expected it to be.

 

 

 

edit: I've still got about 1 1/2 weeks left til I head back to college, and I'm spending some of it dabbling in a bit of stop motion animation involving stick figures on my computer. It'll be my first video ever, and write now I'm decently happy with how it's going, especially considering I'm using MS paint and a powerpoint program to make it. The powerpoint is starting to lag however, but it doesn't matter too much as I'll have to copy it all over to a video editor to compile it all together with the music anyway.

I got a summer job and I have been drawing a lot. While "drawing a lot" may not seem like an achievement to some, I have seen myself improve a lot this summer so I'm very happy :)

Did a bunch of trail work on some local trails, a ton of gardening and yard work (we had a good year for blueberries, but everything else did mediocre), and made some money. Was a fairly laid back summer.

I forgot to mention I got a lot better at making electro-house.

Brought a new flat with my Fiancee so i can fly the nest and move down to Cardiff. (im from Reading, London)

 

Set a date for my Wedding - July 15th next year :) - also done so much wedding stuff like planning etc.

Got four jobs to pay the mortgage untill i can get my student loan

 

Wrote off a car and got another one. Good and bad

 

Got three As in my a levels!

 

Did a little charity work for a local orphange - helped them re-paint their play area and put in some new equipment
