Shovelmeface
The event and rewards were great. And to the guy who's asking for something useful, be prepared to be disappointed for every holiday event. I meant that the cape could be upgraded to get a teleport to one location, like you were able to do with the broom last year, such as the Makeover Mage's house (example). 99 Attack - Done

Will H
Nope, my quest points stayed at 42 after the event. This has just confirmed that I won't do the event, like all others holiday events with cosmetic rewards.Sheesh, lighten up a little, what's wrong with a few cosmetic rewards? The game is about having fun, in case you haven't noticed. I thought graphically the Halloween event was very well done, it was atmospheric and fun. They really should add footstep noises in the game in general, it really adds to the atmosphere of certain areas. ~ W ~

WhiteHorn
Eek is nothing different from a yo-yo so he'll be in my house end of the week. Eek is a girl (!), when you release her, it says 'her'. I've also heard that so is the bathtub spider :-o

I've also heard that so is the bathtub spider :-oYeah, I remember the Spider Queen telling us that she'll order 'her' out of the bathtub when all is said and done. Nice event. The cape's nice. When I first heard we were getting pets, I thought they'd follow us around (imagine if we got the reindeer pet last year  ), but then it'd be very chaotic in crowded areas and whatnot. ^ Blog. Troacctid
Hmm, it appears the anti 76king update has caused everything in Runescape to crash...Don't be so sure. There's a rebound for every crash. As quite a few people have already pointed out, the PVP trick is still very possible and still gives cash drops. The crash is a knee-jerk reaction stuck in slow-motion because of the Grand Exchange mechanics and doesn't necessarily reflect a permanent change in supply & demand. Toad
Sooner or later PvP clans will be established for "Trick Groups". Bottom line - no matter what you do, players always find a way to exploit the system.

fat_klutz
I was kinda hoping adventure log would be F2P... I mean really Jagex? Are you so cheap you can't even let us know how long we played? Content is one thing but time played? And reading the 76k thing I laughed and said to myself sounds like absolutely nothing is going to happen. We will see though. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. ^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one
Donkeykong23
I think it's funny that people think that they have outsmarted Jagex so easily. Especially the whole ABC thing. People thought of this on day 1, and you don't think Jagex would have thought of it? And the drops were nerfed so it shouldn't be as profitable. Kawts
I like the humor in the event. Like when you talk to the spider she says 'Wot', that made me laugh. Eek is pretty cute too, I only had her in my hand for about an hour before putting her back in my bank, which I'm sure thats where she will stay for a long, long time, haha. And yes, Adventure log should be F2P, give us a LITTLE bit more? Please? Thanks to LowFatMilk for the sig
ShutUp41
And yes, Adventure log should be F2P, give us a LITTLE bit more? Please?Jagex doesn't make a habit out of giving new things to F2P. To be perfectly honest, I'm just amazed that the new skill coming out next year is gonna be available to F2P But it'll probably be loads harder to train and much less useful than P2P's version of the skill... On topic of the thread: I liked the event, all around. The dialogue was really great this time around, and the web playground was a little annoying on the first floor, but it sure beats what we had to do in other years. Anyone remember 2007's Halloween event? I nearly burst an artery trying to get those damned ghosts. Eek is fun, and the little conversations reminded me of a happy zombie head. Matter of fact, Eek is kinda like a combination of the yo-yo and zombie head, isn't she? But still, it was worth a chuckle.

strilmus
I always feel dismayed whenever I see that they have decided to use a large obstacle course for the quest, but at least it beats agility training. :P
Zepheras
I always feel dismayed whenever I see that they have decided to use a large obstacle course for the quest, but at least it beats agility training. :P This 'spider agility course' beats all the course we have hands down. I did the gymnastic bar swing thingy and the kungfu wall running back and forth, and it's amazing how my character suddenly becomes Spiderman! Regarding the new 76k changes, how good is it in preventing tricking? I see lots of posts about how it's lame and players can bypass it using 3 or more players, but has anyone actually tested it out?
