Hamtaro
Is that the same Seguin who played for the Plymouth Whalers? I'm pretty sure my brother brought him over to play cards once because my brother's best friend's family "hosts" a Whalers player for season tickets every year. He seemed like a nice enough guy, assuming he's the same person. In relevant news, the Wings finally snapped their losing streak and high school hockey season begins this week  . Hamtaro
I'm jealous that my parents went to the Wings/Oilers game with 4th row seats for Veterans Night. Neither team played that well imo, but I guess I'm happy with the result... Also, how about that Lightning/Flyers game?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjXclnt1wAI Anyone have any thoughts on the 1-3-1 defense? Player since 2004. obfuscator
Yeah that flyers/oilers game was funny. I don't exactly like the trap and its various iterations (such as the 1-3-1); I find it pretty boring. That said, it's a legitimate strategy and I see no need to limit it. The Observer
Was watching that Calgary and Colorado game. Was 4-0 for such a long time and then Colorado brought it back to a 4-3 final. Reminds me of a certain team last year. <_<

In my opinion, 28 other teams have no problem playing Tampa's 1-3-1 system. Why does Philly do this? What a bunch of [kitties], too afraid to skate the puck through the neutral zone. The 1-3-1 isn't unbeatable.... In any situation, I think the responsibility lies on the team with the puck to move it. The blame should never be put on Tampa in this situation. Philly should've gotten multiple delay of game penalties.

If tampa has no obligation to chase the puck then philly has no obligation to move it. obfuscator
Eh there are only three "marlies" in the lineup, could be worse; will probably be something like this (maybe throw in boyce, colborne or kadri) Kessel - Connolly - LupulKulemin - Bozak - FrattinBrown - Steckel - CrabbRosehill - Dupuis - Orr Phaneuf - GunnarssonSchenn - LilesFranson - Gardiner ScrivensGustavsson "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
All_Is_Great
Leafs and Oilers are imploding :ohnoes: We just lost 4 of our top 6 Dman in like a week. Sutton, Barker, Potter all done for a month of so I reckon. So now our D looks like this Smid-GilbertPeckham-PetryTeubert-Chorney. I'm staying home to watch the game since I moved my work to monday, and the first game i get to watch is that D up against Chicago... :wall:
obfuscator
Yikes. That D is awful. Komi is out for two months (broken arm, needs surgery). I'm really glad we had Franson just lying around haha.. EDIT: Oh, brown out, colborne in for the lineup I posted above. Range_This11
The Wild are tearing it up. Offseason moves seems to have really helped the team. Hopefully they can continue the solid play all year. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder." obfuscator
Yeah, I admit I didn't expect the wild to be nearly this good but I'm glad to see them doing well.
