November 15, 200916 yr Jagex may have made an effort to stop new discontinued items from coming into the game, but that's not the way it works in real life! :) That having been said, do you own any "rares" (or uncommon things you consider interesting) in real life? Personally, I have a few items of interest: In December 2005, a team of two professors discovered the largest known prime number through the GIMPS distributed computing project, and they did it again in September 2006, breaking the record twice. They gave away commemorative pins both times, and I was lucky enough to be a recipient both times. Of course, the discovery of large prime numbers isn't exactly an "earth-shattering" scientific achievement unlike, say, the first manned mission to the Moon, but I still think it's pretty cool to own a piece (or two) of math history. November 15, 200916 yr Not to discourage you from coming to OT, but it's a kind of unspoken rule that you don't bring up Runescape here. I get what you're going for but maybe make it less RSish and more "what cool rare things do you own"ish. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

November 15, 200916 yr Well, I found out recently my piano was made during World War I. That's because the pieces are made with metal, and the only time pianos were made with metal rather than copper was because during World War I America took all the copper to put towards the war, so pianos had to be made with metal!
