People already die really quickly in normal mode, it's just instantaneous in hardcore. Feels like it downplays the shooting a bit, but that's just personal preference. The M95 is great, but im just cut out for long range sniping. Next time I get on ill work on my engineer class. People have been telling me that the PP2000 is the best gun for that class. Could anyone on here back that up for me? Hardcore really is favoured towards scope though, as if you aren't scoping, you're going to be limited in what you can do. Even then though, it still is nice to have 'that' type of a play in any game. My preference is split 50/50. I am starting to get annoyed with Recon. I know I can be a better team player if I went Assault, but I'm holding out on that I'll eventually learn the spots and learn how to play the Recon in this game to its full potential. But it really isn't going well, especially in pubs where you have to be playing those objectives because your team isn't so reliable. Definitely going to stick with Recon though until I get to 1k kills with it, then I'll go over to Assault and check out the AN-94. Gun wrecks me every day. The motion mines though are extremely useful - I wouldn't underrate them. Throw them at any objectives and it is impossible for people to ninja disarm or capture. Albel Posted March 29, 2010 Share Posted March 29, 2010 Just had a amazing game. Was at Panama Cana and was on a really good squad (2 snipers an assualt and me as a engineer) Started out great. We took D and B very quickly. Then small fire fights erupted around B and C. Slowly our squad made its way to C and took it. We held it for a good 5 or six minutes before the enemy brought in 2 tanks. So basicly the fight was over C. Highlight of the game was at the end, I was out of ammo and picked up a medic kit. Went outside of C and saw a Quad bike coming my way. It ran over a friend and came for me. I killed the driver and the passanger got off and ran away. Shot him and the game ended. You plant C4 on a UAV, have the guy fly it in and then detonate the C4. It works best if you attack a crate, as it does like 1/3 of the crates total damage. It just requires a bit of coordination. I was doing this with some guys last night and when when we went up, we spotted an Apache that had just taken off. I got the UAV right over the Apache, as it was flying, and had my squadmates detonate the C4. We took out the Apache in midflight. It was very intense. I can only imagine the look on the kids face when he saw that he got killed by C4. The most fun i've had in ages on xbox live.Playing my usual conquest and end up in a squad with these two older (like 25-30) English dudes and this other random. Normally, hardly anyone speaks but everyone in our squad did. Everyone worked as a team as well and had a laugh, i was the medic, one English dude played recon, the other played engineer/assault and the other random just picked whatever. We were the top squad almost every game, i unlocked a crapload of medic stuff as well. One of the guys let his wife on for a laugh when we were trying to capture B on Panama Canal. I revived her like 6 times, got mega points haha. The way we played it tonight was definately the way it was meant to be played, bloody brilliant. It started to load up one of the maps that will be unlocked on Tuesday. It got all the way to the point where it was ready for us to play, then we were dashboarded. It would have been interesting to play on it, but I wonder why it even had active games on the map if it hadn't been unlocked yet? I said Wednesday, but we'll be getting the maps tomorrow as well. I guess it isn't so weird that some people have them online already. DICE might be making sure that they are ready for release. It looked like a 5 stage rush mode, so that'll be great, as long as it has offensive helicopters. Im guessing it is the the game, but not activeted yet, but somehow we did? I dont know. But that new map look intresting :thumbup: Unlock the UMP 45. With this being said, I think the 3 best guns for the engineer is in this order.SCAR L-It's the gun I have the most kills with. Very deadly at medium range.PP 2000-The fire rate on this gun is sick. Not the best at medium/long range, but if used in burst, it becomes very deadly.UMP 45-Almost the same as the SCAR, only difference is the amount of ammo. But none the less, is a great gun. I can also compare snipers as well.GOL-By far the best. Not only is it deadly accurate, but it is also very fast to reload compared to others. M95-This gun is a BEAST. At long range it can not be matched, only problem is how long it takes to re-load. 6.9 seconds to reload it.VSS Snaiperskaya special- My favorite sniper. On smaller mapes like whit pass, it can not be beat at close range. Only down side is that the recoil is very high, but burst would solve this no problem. GOL is the best scope. At long range, it is very easy to aim for the head, and even at medium distances. At close range quickswitching is a viable option with it and really any pistol will kill the other guy in one shot after you tag them. AN-94 though. It rocks. Oh and Modern Warfare 2 sucks donkey nuts anyways, you should pick up a real FPS instead. I'm pretty amazed at how much easier it is to use Assault than it is to use Recon.
