Clan merchenters are scum.

 

I don't hate solo merchnters, if you were to put them on a moral scale, they would be in the grey area, not right, but not exactly wrong.

 

People that buy low/sell high i'm not sure, because at the end of the day, that doesn't sound like it takes much skill.

 

(forgive my naieveity with that as im not sure about it's mechanics)

 

 

 

 

 

You need to know when the item will rise , i didnt just get *lucky* with those merches , i watched the market and saw the melee peices going up in value, so i bought the plates and then next *valuable* 3a with the ammys.

 

 

 

Plus solo merchers do nothing bad for the economy they just go along with the normal price wave.

 

 

 

Try solo merching and tell me it doesn't take skill ;)

I would try it myself, but i have about 3m in cash, and roughly 11m in cash + items.

 

So i don't think it's worth the risk.

 

 

 

I still maintain that Clan merchers are scum though.

 

They're right down there with PJers and free loaders (but thats a different argument).

 

 

 

There is no argument. F2P'ers are not even close to being like these people so don't start talking crap about F2P'ers cause I'm [bleep] tired of it. Keep the discussion about what the topic is about.

 

 

 

Clan Merchants are no good, no. They buy out things that can not be produced, for example: Gems, Barrows aromur/weapons, Treasure Trail items etc.

 

And since they can't be produced not many of those items come into GE, that is why the clan buy them out.

 

After they are bought out and the price has rose enough to satisfy them they sell. Here comes another bad thing with these clans.

 

The leader tells everyone what to buy but just before telling them to dump, the leader dumps his stock and the clan members buys it. Then the leader tells the rest to dump. Some win, some lose. Either way it could be called scamming or pyramid scheme. (I don't klnow exactly how a pyramid scheme works)

Free Loaders aren't F2Pers.

 

Free Loaders are people who join say, a GWD clan, don't fight, and get the drops.

 

I have nothing against F2Pers.

so, it appears that party hats are crashing now, and the people that bought party hats for 3rd age are now panicing to buy out 3rd age stuff.

 

 

 

melee armour has already been bought out.

 

 

 

mage hats & ammys have pretty much been bought out now and the mage top + bottoms are in the process of being bought out also.

 

 

 

so all that's left to buy out is range.

Frankly I am going to stay away from 3rd age and keep my money on spirit shield offers or spend it on skills. Flipping 3rd age is something I would have done if I was online to do it and of course it's 0 risk because you sell the same day. It just seems to wierd of a market right now.

 

 

 

I guess the clans are still trying to squeeze life out of 3rd age but if noone but merchants want it there will be no demand and they won't have a rare item. I see partyhats going up a bit more then depending on what happens to 3rd age a fall or a rise back to what they used to be.

 

 

 

The thing about partyhats is they will rise more often than 3rd age making them a better investment if they are bought out. Either way unless you realy want 3rd age stay away from it you might end up getting burned.

All the merchants that got stuck with 3a are trying to squeeze life out of it right now and buying them out again. The fact is noone is going to pay those high prices anymore because the people who wanted it badly got it. It will go up maybe 2-3 more times in the GE before it crashs again. Either way I suggest not to get involved in 3rd age.

Yup they failed with mage and range which is crashing again.

 

 

 

Kites won't last neither will helms. Plates, legs, and ammy's will go up a bit more than crash unless they continue to buy out every piece.

TBH this is all fake inflation, from merch clans, There gunna keep buying them at max intill the price rises up 10+m then when there is super high demand for this quickly rising item, the're gunna dump them and the market will be flodded.

Strange how the market has really turned into a rollercoaster. The ultimate question is: has the era of 3a ended/is it ending? As in, being the most expensive, exclusive, etc. items. I know spirit shields have taken that spot pretty soon after their release, but you get the point.

Well 3rd age mage crashed a got bought out 5 times today. Melee crashed and rose twice today and range just crashed and rose then crashed today.

 

 

 

If your not in those failure buyout clans stay away from flipping 3rd age you will get burned and lose potentially a lot of money.

So, I am interested in buying a 3rd age mage top and bottom, but I am really unsure about the market. I keep hearing that 3rd age is crashing, but I don't really see prices falling on the grand exchange. I understand it will go down eventually, but I don't wanna buy it if it's going to crash a lot; I also don't want to wait too long and have it got bought out again and then I can't even get it. Would it be a bad idea to buy now or should I wait, also how much would you guys expect 3rd age to drop down to?

If 3rd age is something you want and don't mind spending money on buy it at anytime you wish. But it will be dropping soon.

The thing is they can't control the market as much as you may think. Something is only rare because it is wanted by alot of people and there is few of it out there. Third age was hoarded making it rare after the crash everyone who wanted it for that price bought it closing most of the demand for it almost completely.

 

 

 

However merchants are realy mad their items crashed and considering they can't have more than 2.147B they couldn't sell their 3rd age causing them to be stuck with it. So they are trying to buy it out again and dump on solo merchants who want to try and make a profit too. Third age has been flipped many many many many times today and it either is going to continue because of the stupidity of people who want to try and make a quick buck or it will stop because people will catch on.

 

 

 

One rule applies to rare items..an item is only rare as long as there is a public demand for that item.

Sure merchants can buy out 3rd age and make it rise then dump on solo merchants but it doesn't work that well. Third age is a very high priced item and it takes a somewhat rich person to try to merchant it and usually they arn't stupid with their money therefor they will know it's just another buy out. It was shown by today with all the buyouts and crashs which were all failed buy outs and dumps today.

 

 

 

Third age is done people who wanted it got it the only demand is that of price manipulators, merchants, and big time hoarders. Without the public wanting it anymore it will only be a price manipulated item which is a dead item.

Most likely, they will drop. Lots of merchants out there manipulating the prices of 3a. In fact, some of them are posting fake posts, trying to crash phats and making it seem that 3a is getting 'bought out' again. They just fail.

My guess would be higher than pre-Ge pricing, but lower than now. I may or may not be a formidable guesser. :
