Anybody know if granite counts towards Shattered Heart? Is it considered a stone?

Think about that one for about 15 seconds longer.....

yes...

It's not a stupid question. They've avoided making the popular methods giving stones for some reason, like no agility stones from the moneky agil course.

Didn't say it was a stupid question.

It is a stupid question. Read the update for pete's sake. They are special stones you get randomly from skilling. Not a stone you go mine.

He's talking about this:

Mining: Mining ore, coal, clay or stone.

Oh, the irony.

His question could have been "Can you mine Granite to get the stones?"

Just worded poorly.

Shame that you can't get stones from Ape Atoll Agil course.

Hp update = dumber than dumb

Explaination why they did it is a joke. "Cause we don't want to see the noobs getting discouraged by all the 0s."

Are we still playing runescape here? I am really finding it hard to see this as the same game I started in 05.

Really not happy with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So like what happens to dharok? How does that work now?

Its based on consititution, life points, or pure stupidity?

I'm leaning towards 3...

So much for tanking anything, now that numbers that used to be rounded to zero are going to do some damage. :x

LoL agreed i logged on looking at my hp and being like "wtf?" then i read this update about how hitting high is cool and how they go and rename a skill and try to make it less confusing which inturns only makes it more confusing because your used to the other way. Be prepared for more skill name c hanges i guess.

One thing I'm wondering was in the old system is Jagex follow conventional rounding, round down or use compounding rounding? Depending on the answer it slightly affects things. They they always rounded down, we will now hit and be hit for more. If they used conventional rounding the balance should be equal and you won't see any change. If they used compounding rounding it should be as equivalent as conventional rounding.

Does anyone know what they used?

I'm almost certain that they have always rounded everything down in the game with the only exception that I know of being shard swapping.

Really though, this update does have a pretty big negative effect on pvp combat... you essentially take extra damage on every hit you take that would previously have been rounded down.

Not much though, something very minor like 6 or 9, from my understanding. That is ~1% of your health.

They should give you 2 reward points for being an excellent Troll. Apparently everyone who disagrees with Jagex updates must be an RSOF actually most of those people suck up to Jagex if there is alot of people complaining about it on RSOF then there must be something wrong with the update because i usally get told off when i disagree.

Nope, just people who don't use proper grammar and don't make real points. That's why we call them RSOF.

Most people here are fine and support people disagreeing with Jagex if they do it in the correct way. But a sentence per line, multiple exclamation marks and not attempting to discuss or try things out are not the way to do it.

Actually, I'm just making fun of you because you lack imagination and have apparently neglected to consider the implications of this update before you posted. There's a difference between disagreeing with an update based on logical conjecture and disagreeing with an update out of ignorance of what that update entails.

FYI, using the RSOF as the basis for your argument is so funny that I can't even think of a clever retort.

Oh, quit making fun of him. He obviously has recently entered this strange intellectual environment and is having some trouble adjusting. Protip: Try adjusting your screen brightness.

On topic, I hate it when awesome things happen and I don't have time to go check it out. First they add some random area in the wilderness, and now this. The shattered heart actually looks pretty cool, but I'm a bit disappointed with the time people spend before getting the stones. It seems from what people have been saying it would be pretty simple to complete this in one day. Or is it repeatable?

If that is the case then we are going to feel as though we take more damage in the long run. But also deal more damage.

Unless I read it wrong I think it is repeatable. And you're right these stones are pretty common so it would be easy to do in one day... 27 potions made = both stones lol

Make the noobs happy because the 0s hurt their feelings.

No really, its that levels 1-20 will be seeing more updates because of independent testing conducted by behavioral physcologists to help Jagex recruit more players in the 8-14 age group.

However, older players may find that they only spend several hours at this level and not appreciate the subtle brillance and complexity of updates that add 0s to the numbers flashing on the screen.
