Can anyone tell me if the methods for obtaining rocks that they have listed in the Shattered Hearts RS article are the ONLY ways to obtain rocks. For instance, can I get some by running Ape Atoll's agility course, or by smelting gold, or by making unstrung bows strung, etc.?

If you've had a method work that was not listed, please list it.

Took me about 6 hours to get both agility rocks. Fun times.

Rather than run the course over and over, I just went back and forth through the tunnel in Dorgesh-Kahn. Had both rocks in 5 minutes.

(To add more info)

However jumping low wall in brimhaven agility course first time got me the 1st rock in 1 minute. 2nd rock in 2 more minutes.

Then! 3rd rock took 20 minutes and after another 30 minutes (50min) I gave up and did something else. Thats just low wall jumping... No freakin worth while xp in it and boring. I went to gnome course and eventually got it (Perhaps 5-10 mins?) but also got decent xp..

So its hard to say whats best atm. Probably single agility obstacles rather than courses but if your unlucky then you got very poor xp and wasting time for many many hours. The courses its unknown what gives the rocks or not atm. If its the last obstacle then.. Single obstacles would be better for pure rocks.

Too random. Got to repeat this for every skilling skill each week.

:ohnoes:

Hopefully more info comes along for fastest options..If they exist.

As another example.. First and second crafting I did under 100 gold rings. 3rd and 4th took over 1k gold rings

And another example. Pick pocketing men/women took an hour for two rocks while the 3rd and 4th took me 5 minutes!!

I think the deductions about the Agility one tends to hold true. If you're really after the rocks, repeating single-quick obstacles seems to be the best way to get it. However, considering it can take a while I think it best to simply stick to your standard way of training Agility.

For me it took about 5 minutes to get the first rock but then about 1 hour 30 minutes of the Gnome Advanced to get the second.

I quite like this addition to your everyday training, it provides a nice new diversion and yet still causing (minimal) disruption to the training of skills.

Trouble is I don't train agility and if I do, the course which I like isn't listed on the activities!! I don't like how they've left out Wildy/Ape Atoll. And on other skills LOTS of things like harpooning fish.. Wth? Whats the point in leaving that out.

I having the same problem. I have collected every stone for my second statue except my smithing ones. I training that anyway besides for the stone so I decided to just train normally. (My first and second I gave up with gold and used a different method that worked. So thats an extra 500 gold I tried.)

I using edge furnace, using the armour, gold gauntlets, full inventory, I done like 5k and no rock.

..However I heard and read that people do get the rock training like this.. *shrugs*

I will continue for normal training as I got a whole week to get the smithing rocks anyway. Since I already was doing this I will just continue and see how it goes..

With diligent study, this could lead to another reward, this one of more solid and permanent construction...

I have a feeling that the statue you get in your POH is THE final reward. All the statues you built in the museum gets blown up, so your other reward is the 'permanent construction' in your POH. :-?

I'm guessing the curse gets weakened every time we rebuild the statue, or that we can transport the mage's soul to the finished statue in our house, which is uncursed, and so we'll be able to get a reward from him, well, that's what I'm hoping for.

Still going after the last 10 rocks for my first rebuild. :P

I can confirm, I had 6k gold ore in my bank and I got both rocks within 200 or so smelts.

A technique that might help though, I only had 26 ores in my pack at a time when I smelted so that the rocks always had an inventory space.

To collect the whole statue, I'm predicting it will take atleast a month.

Some people got all 30 in a day, so lets say 30 a day = a month ;/

You can only rebuild the statue once a week, so collecting the whole statue will take 30 weeks = more than 7 months.

To the guy who said you can only build one statue a week, post proof.

Don't believe him, it sounds very doubtful.

That's severely disapointing, so I suppose that I will have to wait 14 months, as ther eis now a that I'm goin through that trouble before someone else showing that it is worthwhile. If it's just a nice story, I'm sure some generous tiffer will post pictures

If anyones interested i don't think consentrated ores work. 5 invens of gold ore and nothing but not only did i get both of my mining ones from addy ore i got them both from the same rock.

also i don't think you need to actually catch anything with box traps to get a rock just have it go off. i got one of them in my inventory from hunting but i was zoned out after an hr so i'm not sure if there was actually anyhting in that trap.

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
